Two volumes of the VCH describing these two cities are now live. Volume 3 covers most of Merseyside east of the Mersey, from Sefton in the north to Speke in the south, and including Warrington, Widnes and Ormskirk. Volume 4 covers the cities of Liverpool and Manchester, along with Wigan and Ashton-under-Lyne. Read more at:

The VCH volume covering Nuneaton, Sutton Coldfield and Solihull is now live. It covers the area to the north and east of Birmingham, and describes many places now within the eastern part of the Birmingham area. It represents part of our ongoing investment in resources relating to the West Midlands. Similar volumes for Worcestershire will be launched by the summer of 2006.
