Question

Feb 02 2010, 13:39:57 beggars hall

In researching my past I have found that in circa 1800 in Trawden, Lancashire my relatives lived in Beggers Hall.

Accepting what the name suggests, can anyone give me any more detail on what was such an address?

Many thanks.
