Mandate to cause Dermit Oglesayn, Benedictine monk of St. James's in the diocese of Regensburg (Ratisponen.), priest, to be received as a monk of the Cistercian monastery of Holycross in the diocese of Cashel. If there be no fixed number of monks therein, and the monastery be not overburdened by such transfer, or, even if there be a fixed number and one be wanting, the transfer is to be made at once; if not, it is to be made as soon as there is a monk lacking. Collation and provision to him, a priest, professed of the order of St. Augustine, the son of a priest religious and an unmarried woman, of the Augustinian conventual priory of St. Mary, Inisclothrann, in the diocese of Ardagh, dependent on no monastery or regular place, with cure and elective, value not exceeding 8 marks, void and (under the pope's late general reservation of all conventual priories, void and to be void) reserved by the death of Dermit Ohobugan. He is hereby dispensed on account of his said illegitimacy. Religionis etc.

Mandate to appropriate to the Cistercian abbey of Holycross in the diocese of Cashel, value not exceeding 20 marks, the rectory, value not exceeding 6 marks, of the parish church of Ballynaclogh (de Vadopetroso), commonly called Balynychloly, in the diocese of Killaloe, the cure of which is exercised by a perpetual vicar; so that, if the rectory be void by the resignation of Odo Iogayn, or because he held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest, or be in any other way already void, or when it shall become void by the resignation or death of the rector, the abbot and convent, whose resources are insufficient for their maintenance and for hospitality etc., may take possession. To William Wynselade, prior of St. Guthlac's, Hereford, O.S.B. Indult to him, who had canonical collation of the said priory (which is conventual, depends on SS. Peter and Paul's, Gloucester, and whose prior is wont to be removed and recalled to the cloister of SS. Peter and Paul's at the pleasure of the abbot thereof), who has ruled it for six years, repaired its buildings and augmented divine worship therein, and who is a sexagenarian or thereabouts, not to be removed from St. Guthlac's without reasonable and lawful cause and special licence of the apostolic see. To the archdeacon of Teviotdale in Glasgow. Mandate, at the recent petition of Henry Driden, Augustinian canon of Holyrood, Edenburch, licentiate of canon law—containing that on the voidance of the Augustinian priory of St. Mary's Isle (Insula Sancte Marie) in the diocese of Whiteherne by the resignation of Patrick Wyrdirsp[o]nne to bishop Alexander, that bishop made collation of the said priory, which depends on Holyrood and has been wont to be governed by canons thereof, has cure and is non-elective, value not exceeding 100l. sterling, to the said Henry, who had had papal dispensation, as the son of a married man and an unmarried woman, to be elected and appointed to any dignity, even that of abbot, or otherwise receive and hold any benefice of the said order, even if a priory—inasmuch as Henry doubts whether the said provision holds good, to collate and assign to him the said priory which, as the pope has learned, is still void. To William de Alnewyck, Premonstratensian canon of St. Mary's, Alnewyck, in the diocese of Durham. Indult that he may engage in study in a lawful faculty at an university for seven years, with licence of his superior, and exercise all scholastic acts; and that the abbot of St. Mary's shall be bound to make provision for his needs according to the resources of the monastery; with grant to take the fruits of a benefice wont to be governed by canons of St. Mary's, which he may meanwhile obtain, as if resident in such benefice.
