1 This volume, which contains nothing within the scope of the present Calendar, is described on the back as ‘Tom. 3’ and ‘Eug. IV. Secret. [An.] XIII. [X] IV. Liber I[II].’ On the bottom edge of the volume is an almost illegible contemporary description which ends ‘Eugenii pape IV ti. A flyleaf has, in the hand of De Prætis: Eugenii IV. Bull. Secret. Anno XIII. XIV. Florentie, Rome. Liber Tertius. Tom. VII. On another flyleaf is the contemporary description: Registrum primum Secretum Bullarum in camera apostolica registratarum, inceptum Senis de mense Maii MCCCCXLIIIo pontificatus sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri domini Eugenii divina providentia pape quarti anno tertiodecimo, after which come the ‘Rubrice bullarum in presenti libro registratarum.’
