Bill for regulating the Trial of Peers.
The House was put into a Committee, to consider
of the Bill for the better regulating the Trial of
the Peers of this Kingdom.
The House being resumed;
The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have considered of the said Bill, and have
made some Alterations therein; for the doing of
which, they have named a Sub-committee, and desire
that the House would appoint some Judges to assist
them therein."
Whereupon the House named the Lord Chief Justice
of the Court of Common Pleas, Judge Wyld, Judge
Ellis, and Mr. Attorney General, to assist the Lords Subcommittees in this Business.
Protestant Religion.
ORDERED, That To-morrow Morning the House
shall be put into a Committee, to take into Consideration
that Part of His Majesty's Speech which relates to the
Protestant Religion.

Whereas Sir Alexander Frazier Knight, One of His
Majesty's Physicians, was, by Order dated the Ninth
Instant, appointed to put in his Answer in Writing to
the Petition and Appeal of Frances Denies Widow,
depending in this House, on Tuesday the 16th Instant:
The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of
the said Sir Alexander Frazier, "That, in regard his
Solicitor who kept his Writings is sick, he may have
some longer Time allowed him for putting in thereof;"
it is thereupon ORDERED, That the said Sir Alexander
Frazier hath hereby Time given him till Wednesday the
24th of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock
in the Forenoon, for putting in his Answer as aforesaid.

Upon reading the Petition of Nicholas Isaac Gentleman this Day; praying, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause upon his Petition and Appeal depending in this House, to which William Davye, Gilbert Davye, and Agnes Magent, have put in an
Answer as Defendants:"
It is ORDERED, That this House will hear Counsel, at
the Bar, upon the said Appeal and Answer, on Friday
the Twenty-sixth Day of this Instant November, at Ten
of the Clock in the Forenoon, whereof the said Nicholas Isaac is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said
William and Gilbert Davye and Agnes Magent for that
Purpose.
Bill to encourage Priests to quit the Church of Rome.
ORDERED, That Leave is hereby given to any Lord
of this House to bring in a Bill for Provision and Encouragement to such Priests, Regular or Secular, as
shall come off from the Monasteries of the Church of
Rome to the Church of England.
