PRAYERS.
Bp. of St. Asaph, to preach on the Fast-day.
Ordered, That the Lord Bishop of St. Asaph be,
and he is hereby, desired to preach before this House,
in the Abbey Church, Westminster, on Wednesday the
18th of this Instant December, being the Day appointed
by His Majesty's Royal Proclamation for a General Fast.
Alie, to take the Name of Leman, Bill.
The Lord Willoughby of Parham reported from the
Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An
Act to enable Richard Leman Esquire, formerly called
Richard Alie, and the Heirs Male of his Body, to
take and use the Surname of Leman, pursuant to the
Will of Sir William Leman Baronet, deceased," was
committed: "That they had considered the said Bill,
and examined the Allegations thereof, which were
found to be true; and that the Committee had gone
through the Bill, and directed him to report the same
to the House, without any Amendment."
Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Henry Vincent Baronet and Francis Vincent his only Son and Heir Apparent; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for empowering them, during their joint Lives, and for the Petitioner
Francis after the Death of his Father, in case he shall
survive him, to make a Jointure on any future Wife he
shall marry, and Provision for the Younger Sons and
Daughters of such Marriage:
It is Ordered, That the Consideration of the said
Petition be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief
Baron of the Court of Exchequer and Mr. Baron
Clarke; with the usual Directions, according to the
Standing Order.
E. of Peterbrorow's Pet. referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition of Charles Earl of Peterborow, and of Lady Frances and Lady Mary Mordaunt his Daughters, by the Petitioner their Father, in
respect of their Infancy and being under Age; praying
Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable Trustees, to be named
therein, to sell so much of several Estates in Scotland,
in the Petition mentioned, for the best Price that can
be got for the same, but not under a certain Rate
limited, as shall be sufficient for satisfying the Debts
affecting the said Estates; and to lay out the Surplus of
the Money arising thereby in the Purchase of other
Lands more conveniently situated, or on Real Sucurity,
as in the Petition is expressed:
It is Ordered, That the Consideration of the said
Petition be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief
Justice of the Court of King's Bench and Mr. Justice
Fortescue Aland; with the usual Directions, according to
the Standing Order.

Upon reading the Petition of John Nugent Esquire
and Margaret his Wife, Robert Fitzgerald Esquire and
Mary his Wife, and Robert Nugent Esquire as Guardian
on the Behalf of Edmund Nugent his Son, an Infant;
praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for supplying the
Loss of certain Indentures of Lease and Release, in the
Petition mentioned; and for Sale of the Manor of Chichester and Premises, in the County of Cavan, in the
Kingdom of Ireland, therein also mentioned; and for
applying the Money arising by such Sale to discharge
the Encumbrances charged thereon, and the Residue
to be divided amongst the Petitioners, according to their
Rights and Proportions therein:
It is Ordered, That the Consideration of the said
Petition be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Clarke
and Mr. Baron Clive; with the usual Directions, according to the Standing Order.
Capt. Chalmer against Alison & al.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Captain
John Chalmer of Gadgirth; complaining of an Interlocutor of the Lord Ordinary, of the 9th of June 1744,
and of an Interlocutor of the Lords of Session in Scotland, of the 19th of June 1745, adhering thereto; and
likewise of another Interlocutor, of the 29th of the
same Month, whereby they adhered to their said former
Interlocutor, made on the Behalf of Robert Alison,
James Porter, James Alison, Janet and Marion Millers,
James Ker, Jean Stevenson, George Peacock, and the
Tutors and Curators of such of them as are Minors, for
their Interest, and Robert Craigie Esquire His Majesty's
Advocate; and praying, "That the same may be reversed, varied, or amended; and that the Appellant
may have such other Relief in the Premises as to this
House in their great Wisdom and Justice shall seem
meet:"
It is Ordered, That the said several Persons last
named may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and they
are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective
Answers thereunto, in Writing, on or before Tuesday
the 15th Day of January next; and that Service of
this Order on any One of their Agents or Procurators
in the Court below be deemed good Service.
His Majesty's Pleasure for adjourning signified.
The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That
he was commanded by His Majesty, to signify to
their Lordships, that His Majesty is pleased that
both Houses of Parliament do adjourn to Wednesday
the 18th Day of this Instant December."
