The Lord Cornwallis reported the Bill, intituled, "An
Act for the Sale of the Estate of Antony Eyre Esquire, deceased, for Payment of his Debts, and Portions for his Children," with some Amendments."
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill
ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Butter and Cheese Bill.

preventing Abuses committed by the Searchers and
Weighers of Butter and Cheese."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall
pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

The House being this Day moved, "That the Mayor,

additional Act for Confirmation of the Charters, Liberties, and Privileges, of the University of Oxford:"

Bayly versus Robson.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sarah
Bayly, Widow and Executrix of Edward Bayly her late
Husband deceased, Plaintiff, in the Court of Chancery,
against Anne Robson Widow, Mary Robson and Katherine
Robson Insants, by the said Ann the Widow their Mother and Guardian, and Thomas Paske, William Bryan,
and others; and praying, "that the said Defendants in
Chancery may answer the Substance of this Appeal; and
that the last Decree therein mentioned may be reversed, and all Proceedings stayed in the mean Time:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Ann Robson
Widow, and the other now Respondents, may have a
Copy of the said Petition; and be, and they are hereby,
required to put in their Answer or respective Answers
thereunto in Writing, on Tuesday the Twentieth Day of
this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that, in the mean Time, all Proceedings in

Waller, Gentleman of the Privy Chamber, charged in Execution.
Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Waller; shewing, "That he was sworn and admitted One of the
Gentlemen of the Privy Chamber to His Majesty,
the Fourth of April, One Thousand Six Hundred
Ninety-two, and charged in Execution during the
Time of Privilege of Parliament; and praying to be
discharged:"

Thomas Waller shall be, and is hereby, referred to the

Old Governors of Birmingham School versus Hicks, Slaney, et al.
Upon reading the Petition of the old Governors of
the Free Grammar School in Bermingham, in the County
of Warwick, of the Foundation of King Edward the
Sixth, complaining of several Proceedings in the Court
of Chancery, on the Behalf of John Hicks the Schoolmaster under the new Charter; and "that, since the
Judgement of this House, one Morton Slaney and Four
others, who acted as new Governors under King James's
Charter, contriving to elude the Judgement of this
House, pretend that they have, as old Governors, constituted the said Hicks School-master; and praying, in
Vindication of the Order of Reversal of this House,
to dissolve the Injunctions in Chancery which contradict the same:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Hicks
and Moreton Slaney, and others, may have a Copy of
the said Petition; and do put in their Answers thereunto
on Thursday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant
December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Advice to the King.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put

The Lord Viscount Weymouth reported from the Committee appointed to inspect Precedents, how a Member
of the House of Commons may be spoke with by this
House, "That the Clerks have found One, which was
before the Committee, of 12° and 13° Novembris,
1689."
Which was read, out of the Journal.
And, after Debate thereupon,
ORDERED, That a Committee be appointed, to consider of the Narrative, Papers, Letters, and Book, brought
in by the Earl of Nottingham (pursuant to the Address
to His Majesty); and to prepare something thereupon, to
be offered at a Conference with the House of Commons.

Majesty, upon the Capitulation in 1678, for Regulation
of the Troops in The Low Countryes.
Sir Samuel Leach versus Thompson.
Upon reading the Petition of Sir Symon Leach Knight of
the Bath; shewing, "That he having a Writ of Error depending in this House, whereunto Thomas Thompson is
Defendant, which is appointed to be heard on Friday
the Sixteenth Instant; and that, ever since Monday last,
he hath been consined by a violent Fever; and therefore praying a further Day for hearing thereof:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear
the Errors argued upon the said Writ of Error, peremptorily, on Friday the Three and Twentieth Day of this
