Salt Water to make fresh, Bill.
The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making Salt
Water fresh," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill
ordered to be engrossed.
Bishop versus Rothwell:
After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition
and Appeal of Sir Cecil Bishop Baronet, Cecil Bishop and
John Gratwick Esquires, from a Decree made in the
Court of Exchequer, the Fourth Day of February last,
and other Orders and Proceedings there on the Behalf
of John Rothwell Clerk; as also upon the Answer of
the said John Rothwell put in thereunto:
Judgement affirmed.
After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the
said Petition and Appeal of Sir Cecil Bishop, Cecil Bishop,
and John Gratwicke, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed
this House; and that the Decree and several Orders and
Proceedings of the Court of Exchequer, from which
they appealed, shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed:
And it is further ORDERED, That the said Sir Cecil
Bishop, Cecil Bishop, and John Gratwick, shall pay, or
cause to be paid, unto the Respondent John Rothwell,
the Sum of Thirty Pounds for his Costs.
Creditors, for Relief of, Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put
into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act
for Relief of Creditors," on Monday the Eighteenth
Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the
Forenoon.
Grievances complained of by Crosfeild.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That, on Wednesday the Twentieth Day of this Instant March, this House shall be
put into a Committee, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Grievances mentioned in, or annexed to,
the Petition of Robert Crosfeild.
Counterfeiting and clipping the Coin to prevent, Bill.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put
into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act
to prevent the counterfeiting and clipping the Coin
of this Kingdom."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was
resumed.
And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the
Committee had gone through the Bill; and think it
fit to pass, with some Amendments."
ORDERED, That the Report of this Bill shall be made
To-morrow Morning.
