Smith versus Dean of St. Paul's and Rogle.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of George
Smith and Margaret his Wife, from an Order for allowing a Demurrer, made by the Lord Chancellor Jeffreys,
on the Seven and Twentieth Day of February, in the Second Year of the late King James, on Behalf of the
Dean of St. Paul's and Lewis Rogle:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Dean of St. Paul's
and Lewis Rogle may have a Copy of the said Petition
and Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required
to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto,
in Writing, on Wednesday the Fifth Day of February
next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Weavers to Lustring Company, to be heard against the Bill for supplying Defects in an Act concerning Alamodes, Lustring, &c.
Upon reading the Petition of the Weavers working
for the Royal Lustring Company in Lustrings and Alamodes; praying, "That they may be heard, by their
"Counsel, before the passing of a Bill depending in
this House, intituled, "An Act to supply the Defects
in the Act made in the last Session of Parliament (as to what relates to Alamodes and Lustrings), intituled,
An Act for granting to His Majesty certain Duties
upon Glass Wares, Stone and Earthen Bottles, Coals,
and Culm, for carrying on the War against France:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall
be heard, by their Counsel, on Wednesday the Nine and
Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the
Clock in the Forenoon (on which Day the Bill shall be
read the Second Time); and that the Witnesses already
summoned for the Weavers, or others, do then attend;
and the Counsel then heard for and against the said Bill.
