Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing of the
Cause wherein the Lady Anne North is Appellant, and
Philip Cecil Esquire is Respondent:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear
the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the
Eighteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put
into a Committee, to consider further of the East India
Trade.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Herbert of Chirbury reported, "That
it was the Opinion of the Committee of the whole
House, that a Select Committee be appointed, to consider of the Charter of the East India Company, of
the Twenty-eighth of September, One Thousand Six
Hundred Ninety-four; and what further, or other
Regulations may be requisite for establishing of an
East India Company; and have Power to send for Persons, Papers, Charters, or Records."

To which the House agreed; and named the Committee following:
Lords Committees appointed to consider of the
Charter of the East India Company, dated the

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Lee Warner Gentleman; complaining of a Decree made in the
Court of Chancery, the Twenty-fourth of November,
One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-three, on the Behalf of William North; and another Decree made on
Behalf of Grace Featly, and the other Widows of
Bromley Colledge; and praying, "That a Decree made
by the Commissioners of Charitable Uses may be ratified and confirmed; and that the Decrees, Orders,
and Proceedings in Chancery, may be reversed:"
