Whereas Phillip Bartholmewe of Rochester, an Attorney at Law, being in the Custody of the Serjeant at
Arms attending this House, for sueing Mr. Roger Payne
Household Steward to the Duke of Richmond to an Exigent, within the Time of Privilege, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, was this Day brought to the Bar,
where he received the Reprehension of the House for
his said Offence (having submitted himself to his Grace
the Duke of Richmond):
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled (at the Intercession of the Duke
of Richmond on his Behalf), That the said Phillip Bartholmewe be, and is hereby, discharged from his present
Restraint by Reason of his said Offence, paying his
Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

have considered the Bill for settling certain Charitable
Uses devised by the late Bishop of Rochester, and have
made some Alterations and Amendments therein, which
they offer to their Lordships Consideration:"
The said Amendments were read Twice, and Agreed
to; and it is ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed,
with the said Amendments.
Stroud's and Countess of Southton's Bill.
The Marquis of Worcester reported, "That the Committee for the Bill concerning the disposing of a House
and Lands belonging to the Sisters and Coheirs of
Margarett Stroude have considered of the same, and,
having heard all Persons therein concerned, do think
it fit to pass with some few Alterations and Amendments."
Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to, and the
Bill is ORDERED to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Ld. Vaughan Privilege, Morgan versus Davies.
Upon Report made by the Duke of Richmond, from
the Lords Committees for Privileges, to whom was referred the Consideration of the Matter of Fact and Privilege mentioned in the Petition of David Morgan Gentleman, complaining against William Davyes and others,
who riotously took Possession of a Mill belonging to the
Petitioner in the County Borough of Caermarthen, and
detain the same from him; and craving the Directions of
this House before he proceed to Trial against the said
William Davies, in regard of Privilege claimed by the
said William Davies, as a menial Servant to the Lord
Vaughan, a Peer of this Realm:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the said David Morgan
may proceed to the said Trial, if the Allegations mentioned in the said Petition be true.
