Lord Keeper, being not well.
Message from H. C. with Bills.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Sir Robert Atkins and others; who brought up Two
Bills passed by the House of Commons, to which their
Lordships Concurrence is desired:
1. "An Act for granting unto His Majesty an Imposition upon all Wines and Vinegar, between the
24th Day of June, 1670, and the 24th Day of
June, 1678."
2. "An Act for ascertaining the Measures of Corn
and Salt."
ORDERED, That the Bill for granting to His Majesty an Imposition upon Wines and Vinegar shall be
read To-morrow Morning, the First Business.
Bill against Conventicles.
The House was adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the Consideration of the Bill to prevent and
suppress seditious Conventicles.
After a long Debate thereof,
The House being resumed;
The Earl of Bridgwater reported to the House,
That the Committee of the whole House have proceded further in Consideration of the Bill against
Conventicles; but desires that the House would please
to appoint another Day, when the House may be
again adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the
further Debate thereof."
Whereupon it is ORDERED, That, after the Lord
Roos's Business is dispatched To-morrow, this House
shall be adjourned into a Committee, to proceed further in Consideration of the Bill against Conventicles.
