PRAYERS.
The Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas sat Speaker this Day, in the Absence
of the Lord Keeper.
Deeping Fens Bill.
The Lord Bishop of Sarum reported, "That the
Committee for the Bill for the Draining of Deeping
Fenns have considered that Bill; and think it fit to
pass as it is, without any Amendments."
Thereupon it is ORDERED, That the said Bill shall
be read the Third Time To-morrow Morning.
Gunman & al. Nat. Bill.
The Bishop of Sarum also reported, "That the
Committee for the Bill of Naturalization of Captain
Christopher Gunman and others have taken the same
into Consideration; and are of Opinion, that some
Mistakes in the Writing are to be amended; and that
there are Three or Four Persons that desire to have
their Names inserted into that Bill, which the Committee desires the Direction of the House therein."
Whereupon the House re-committed the said Bill to
the same Committee, and gave them Power to add the
Names of the Persons to the Bill: And the Committee
is to meet To-morrow Morning for that Purpose.
ORDERED, That Saturday next, in the Afternoon,
is appointed for this House to sit, to read Private Bills
depending in this House; and that To-morrow in the
Afternoon this House do sit, to read Public Bills.
Message from H. C. to return a Bill; and to remind the Lords of Two others.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Sir John Duncum and others; who returned the Bill
for taking away the Benefit of Clergy from Persons
stealing Cloth from the Racks, &c. which their Lordships sent down with an Addition; to which the House
of Commons do agree.
Also to put their Lordships in Mind of the Bill for
improving Tillage, and the Bill for the Measures of
Corn and Salt.
The King withdrew upon a Message from H. C.
Memorandum, That, before the Messengers of the
House of Commons were called in, His Majesty withdrew Himself; and returned into His Chair of State
after the Message was delivered.
The Lord Viscount Say and the Lord Willoughby are
added to the Committee for Sir Cutbert Heron's Bill.

ORDERED, That the Lord Widdrington hath Leave
to go into the County, about his Occasions.
Bill against Conventicles.
The House was adjourned into a Committee during
Pleasure, to take into further Consideration the Bill to
prevent and suppress seditious Conventicles.
The House being resumed;
It is ORDERED, That this House will proceed further in the Consideration of the Bill against Conventicles To-morrow Morning, next after the Lord Fitzwater's Business is dispatched.
Grenvile versus Elwes.
Upon Consideration had of the Petition of Bernard
Greenvile Esquire, and upon hearing of the Counsel
of the said Bernard Greenvile, as also of Jeremy Elwaies Esquire, this Day, at the Bar of this House:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bernard
Greenvile and Anne his Wife, Daughter and Heir of
Cutbert Morley Esquire (late deceased), be left to bring
a Bill of Revivor in the Court of Chancery, in the
Cause wherein the said Cutbert Morley was Plaintiff,
and the said Jeremy Elwes and Henry Elwes were Defendants; and that the said Defendants do forthwith put
in their Answer to the said Bill of Revivor; and that
the Directions of this House, given on the Twelfth, Five
and Twentieth, and Nine and Twentieth Days of November last, and all other Votes, Orders, and Judgements, made in the former Cause depending in that
Court, shall be observed upon such Bill of Revivor,
both in the Manner of the Accompt and all other
Things, as if there were no Bill of Revivor brought:
And it is further ORDERED, That the Lord Keeper of
the Great Seal direct from Time to Time such Proceedings upon the said Bill of Revivor, as with Justice
may best expedite the said Cause, and bring it to a final
Determination without any Delay.
L. Holles, Privilege; Symball to remain in Custody.
This Day Isaac Symball was brought to the Bar, as
a Delinquent, for striking Hugh Bowring, Servant to
the Lord Holles, and pounding his Lordship's Horse,
contrary to the Privilege of Parliament: He confessed
that he struck the said Bowring, but pretended he did
not know him to be his Lordship's Servant; and craved
the Pardon of this House:
But the House ordered, the said Symball shall remain
in Custody until the further Pleasure of the House be
signified.
