vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
the enabling of Sir Thomas Burton Baronet to sell
Lands, for Payment of Debts."
The Question was put, "Whether this (fn. *) Bill shall
pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Message to H. C. with it.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Sir Adam Ottley and Sir Robert Legard:
To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto; and to acquaint them, that the Lords
have agreed to their Amendments to the Earl of Ailesbury's Bill.

The House was informed, "That the Lord Keveton
was gone out of Town; but will attend the House
on Friday next, he having extraordinary Business in
the Country."
Wareing versus Plate.
Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon
the Petition and Appeal of Richard Wareing Gentleman, from a Decree made in the High Court of Chancery, in a Cause there depending, between Sir John
Plate Knight and Dame Anne his Wife Plaintiffs, and
the Petitioner, now the Appellant, Defendant, which
Cause was heard the Eleventh Day of May last; as also
upon the Answer of Sir John Plate Knight and of Dame
Anne his Wife put in thereunto:
After due Consideration had of what was offered by
Counsel on either Side upon the said Petition and
Answer, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by
the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Decree complained of in the Petition
and Appeal of Richard Wareing Gentleman, made the
Eleventh Day of May last, shall be, and is hereby,
reversed.
E. Thanet's Claim to the Barony of Clifford.
The House being this Day moved, in the Case of the
Claim of Thomas Earl of Thannett (formerly brought
into this House) to the Title of Lord Clifford; and the
House being informed by the Lord Clifford de Lanesborough, who claimed under the late Countess of Burlington his Mother, lately deceased, "That he doth not
obstruct the said Claim:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees
for Privileges do examine the Earl of Thannet's Claim
to the said Barony of Lord Clifford, and report to this
House their Opinion thereupon.
Burrows versus Dod & al.
Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Burrows;
praying, "a Day may be appointed, for hearing of his
Cause, upon his Petition, to which Anne Dod and
others are Respondents:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the
said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, upon
the Points mentioned in the Petition of Thomas Burrows,
on Wednesday the Thirteenth Day of January next, at
Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Bromhall versus Manlove.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the
Cause wherein Thomas Bromhall is Plaintiff, and Will'm
Manlove Defendant, on Friday next, at Ten of the
Clock in the Forenoon.
Observations on Accompts, to be delivered.
The House having received, and this Day read, the
Book of Accompts, sent from the Commissioners appointed by a late Act of Parliament to examine, take,
and state, the Public Accompts of the Kingdom; and
believing that they have made some Remarks and Observations on them, they are desired to transmit them to
this House as soon as may be.
ORDERED, That the Lord Viscount Weymouth be
added to the Committee for Petitions.

ORDERED, That this House will hear the Cause
wherein Martha Gay is Plaintiff, and Thomas Beaple
Defendant, To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the
Forenoon.
