E. of Macclesfield's Divorce, Bill.
After hearing, this Day, Counsel and Witnesses for
the Earl of Maclesfeld, in order to make good the Allegations of his Bill:
The Counsel for the Countess of Maclesfeld desired,
"That they might have Copies of the Depositions
taken on Behalf of the Earl of Maclesfeld; and that
they having a material Witness in Brecknocksh'r, (videlicet,) one Mr. Dunn, might have Time to send for
him, and the Protection of this House coming and
going:"
It being proposed by the Counsel on the other Side,
That they produce some Person to swear that Mr.
Dunn is a material Witness:"
The House thought fit to respite the appointing Time
for the Lady Maclesfeld to be heard till To-morrow
Morning.
Leighton's Bill, concerning the Wardenship of The Fleet.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear
Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for
the Relief of Baldwin Leighton Esquire, in relation
to the Office of Warden of The Fleete," on Thursday
the Seven and Twentieth Day of this Instant January,
at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon; at which
Time the Lord Chief Justice Holt, the Lord Chief Justice Treby, Mr. Justice Nevill, and the Register formerly summoned, do attend this House.
