The Lord Lucas reported from the Committee, the
Marquis of Newcastle's Bill, as sit to pass, with some
Amendments and Additions; which are offered to the
Consideration of the House.
The Amendments and Additions were read Twice,
and ordered to be re-committed to the same Committee;
and the Lord Viscount Stafford added to the said Committee.
Eales sent for, for refusing to assast in apprehending Scrope.
Upon the Information of Moses Perkins, Servant to
the Gentleman Usher attending this House, upon Oath
given him at the Bar, "That he having the Order of
this House, for attaching the Body of Adrian Scrope,
One of those that gave Judgement upon the Death of
His late Majesty, and demanding Aid and Assistance
of John Eales, of Henly, Deputy Under Sheriff of that
County, he refused to give him his Aid and Assistance
therein:"
It is ORDERED, That the said John Eales shall be attached by the Serjeant at Arms, and brought before
this House, to answer his said Offence.

Saving for the King in Private Bills.
ORDERED, in all the Private Bills depending in this
House, when the Committee make a Saving of the Rights

Message from H. C. with the Bill for Judicial Proceedings, and another Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Serjeant Glynn, &c.; who brought up the Act for
Confirmation of Judicial Proceedings, which was sent
down with some Alterations, wherein they have made
some Amendments, wherein they desire their Lordships
Concurrence.
2. The Act for continuing of the Excise, (fn. *) wherein
they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Monlosse's Order concerning the Rectory of of Gonvil Terent.
ORDERED, That Mr. Monlase, Rector of Gonvil Terent,
shall have Liberty to take off his Crop of his Glebe
Lands this Year, when he quits the Possession of the
said Rectory, wherein he now officiates.
Ives's concerning the Rectory of Stow.
Upon reading the Petition of Will. Ives, of Stow,
in the County of North'ton:
It is ORDERED, That, the Petitioner giving Security
by Bond to the Sheriff, in the Name of the Person that
sues, to be responsible for the Tithes if the Trial goes
against him, then he shall be permitted to receive into
his Custody this Summer's Tithes, Glebe, and Profits;
and the Bond to be kept by the Sheriff.
Acton released.
This Day Acton, formerly sent for, for disobeying an
Order of this House, made in the Case of the Marquis
of Winton, came to this Bar; and, upon his Knees,
made his humble Submission to this House, acknowledging his Offence.
Whereupon it is ORDERED, That he be released
from his present Restraint.
Bill to confirm Judicial Proceedings:
Next, the House took into Consideration the Alterations and Amendments in the Bill for confirming Judicial
Proceedings; which, being read Twice, were agreed to,

The King's Majesty, sitting in His Chair of State,
commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to
give Notice to the House of Commons to attend Him;
who being come, their Speaker presented His Majesty
with the Bill for continuing the Excise until the 25th
Day of December next.

"That he having a Warrant of this House, for the attaching of the Body of Adrian Scrope, being One of
those that gave Judgement of Death upon the late
King, and demanding Assistance of John Eales of
Henly, Deputy Sheriff of the County of Oxford, he
refused to give him his Aid and Assistance therein, as
the said Warrant required:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled,
That the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy, shall attach
the Body of the said John Eales, and forthwith bring
him in Safety before their Lordships, to answer his
high Contempt to this House: And this to be a sufficient
Warrant in that Behalf.
Monlosse's Order concerning the Rectory of Gonvill Terent.
It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Monlosse, Rector of Gonvill
Terent, in the County of Dorsett, shall have Liberty

Ives and Seller, concerning the Living of Stow.
Upon the Petition of William Ives, Minister of Stowe,
in the County of North'ton:
It is ORDERED by the Lords in Parliament assembled,
That, the Petitioner giving Security by Bond to the
Sheriff of the said County, who is to take it in the
Name of Seller, to be responsible for the Tithes if
the Trial shall go against him, that then the said William Ives is hereby impowered to receive into his Custody
this Summer's Tithes, Glebe, and Profits; and the said
Bond, so taken, shall be kept in the said Sheriff's Hands,
until the Right shall appear to whom it doth belong.

Upon the Motion of the Lord Marquis of Winton, on
the Behalf of Edward Acton, now in Custody, upon disobeying an Order of this House concerning his Lordship, and likewise acknowledging his Offence upon his
Knees at this Bar:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled,
That the said Edward Acton is hereby released of his
said Restraint, paying his Fees: And this to be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.
