Rivers Stoure and Salwerp Bill.
The Amendments formerly reported from the Committee for the Bill for making the Rivers of Salwerp and
Stoure navigable, were read Twice; and the Bill ordered
to be engrossed, with these Amendments.
Sanguinary Laws about Religion.
ORDERED, That Friday the 28th of this Instant June
is appointed to resume the Debate as was Yesterday
concerning the Sanguinary Laws.
Bill to vacate Sir E. Powel's Fines.
It is ORDERED, That the Counsel on both Sides,
concerning a Bill depending in this House, for the
vacating of Fines levied by Sir Edward Powell Knight
and Baronet, and Dame Mary his Wife, shall be further heard, at this Bar, on Saturday the 29th of June
Instant, by Nine of the Clock in the Morning; and
that such Witnesses on both Sides, whose Names shall
be returned unto the Clerk of the Parliaments, and
a Warrant issued out under his Hand for their Appearance, are at the same Time to attend the said
Hearing.
And forasmuch as the Lords in Parliament are not
satisfied with the Answer of the Person that gave an
Account to this House of Mr. Warberton's not appearing
before their Lordships, according to an Order of the
17th of this Instant, through a Pretence of his Inability
of Body to obey the same: It is further ORDERED,
That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending
this House shall send a Servant of his own on Purpose
unto the said Mr. Warberton, to see whether he may be
brought to London without Danger of his Life; if so,
then to require him, by virtue of this Order, to appear
before their Lordships, without further Delay or Excuse, at the Time and Place aforesaid. And hereof a
speedy Account is to be given to this House.
Bill for draining the Fens in Lindsey Level.
A Proviso was reported from the Committee, to be
added to the Bill concerning Lyndsey Levell, and read
Twice.
The Question being put, "Whether this Proviso
shall be inserted into the said Bill?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, That the Bill concerning Lyndsey Levell
shall be engrossed, with the Amendments and Proviso.
ORDERED, That the Lord Chief Justice of the
Common Pleas have Notice to attend this House on
Tuesday Morning next, concerning the Lord Viscount
de Stafford's Business.
Towns of Leostoff and Yarmouth.
ORDERED, That an Order shall be issued out, to
summon the Witnesses on Behalf of the Town of
Lowestoft to appear, at the Hearing of the Cause between that Town and Great Yarmouth.
