Speaker this Day.
Hubbard released.
This Day Joseph Hubbard was brought to the Bar, as
a Delinquent, according to the Order of this House,
made the 29th of November last; and made his Submission;
and received the Reprehension of this House.
E. of Clare's Privilege in the Suit between Pawley and Philips.
Upon Oath made at this Bar, by Job Williams, "That,
in an Action of Ejectment for Three Messuages in
Drury Lane, between Robert Pawley Plaintiff and
John Phillips Defendant, wherein the Title of the
Earl of Clare is concerned, a Verdict by Default was
obtained, by Robert Waite, the Plaintiff's Attorney, on
the 22th Day of November last, being within the Time
of Privilege of Parliament."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Wayte shall
be summoned to appear before this House on Monday
next, being the Fifth of this Instant December, to shew
Cause why the said Verdict should not be suppressed;
and, in the mean Time, that all Proceedings in the said
Business be stayed.
