L. Lovelace takes the Oaths.
John Lord Lovelace took the Oaths, and made and
subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statute.
The Order being read, for the Business appointed this
Day:
Security of the King's Person, &c. Bill for:
Hodie 2a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act
for the Security of His Majesty's Person and Government; and for maintaining the Succession of the
Crown, according to the Two late Acts of Parliament."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a
Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee on the said Bill.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to
pass, with some Amendments."
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the
Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Fuller to produce Jones.
The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That he
had received a Letter from Mr. Fuller, dated 10th
January, 1701/2."
Which was read, and the following Order made:
"After reading a Letter from Mr. William Fuller, desiring further Time for his producing Mr. Thomas
Jones: It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and
Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. William
Fuller do peremptorily produce the said Mr. Thomas
Jones before this House on Monday next, at Eleven
a Clock in the Forenoon."
