Godwin versus Folcraft.
Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon
the Petition and Appeal of Edmund Godwin and Mary
his Wife, Roger Gill and Elianor his Wife, and Charles
Horne, from several Decrees and Proceedings in cross
Causes, made in the Court of Chancery, by the Master
of The Rolls, in June One Thousand Six Hundred
Eighty-seven; the Lord Chancellor Jeffryes, in October
One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-seven; and the Decree made by the Lords Commissioners of the Great
Seal of England, in June One Thousand Six Hundred
Ninety-two; and other Orders, on the Behalf of Will'm Foscraft the Father and William Foscraft the Son,
or either of them; as also upon the Answer of William
Foscraft the Son put in thereunto:
After due Consideration had of what was offered by
Counsel on either Side thereupon, it is ORDERED and
Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Decrees, made by
the Master of The Rolls, the Lord Chancellor Jeffryes,
and by the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal, in
Favour of William Foscraft the Father or William Foscraft the Son, complained of by the Petitioners, shall
be, and they are hereby, reversed.
Advice to His Majesty.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put
into a Committee, pursuant to the Order Yesterday, to
proceed upon further Heads of Advice to be given to
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was
Barons of Exchequer to be heard, about L. Chief Baron's Petition, for auditing Accompts of Customs, &c.
Whereas there is a Petition of Sir Robert Atkyns,
Lord Chief Baron of Their Majesty's Court of Exchequer, referred by this House to the Lords Committees
for Privileges; the House being this Day moved, "That
the other Barons of Their Majesties Court of Exchequer may be heard at the said Committee, in relation
to the said Petition:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Barons shall
be heard, by themselves or Counsel, as desired, at the
said Committee, on Monday next, at Four of the Clock
in the Afternoon, in the House of Peers.
