Military Affairs.
A LETTER from the Committee at the Army, relating the Passages of the late Battle between the
King's Forces and the Forces raised by the Parliament,
was this Day read; and ordered to be presently printed.
Committees to Hants, &c.
Ordered, That Sir Tho. Jervoise and Mr. Wallop do
forthwith repair unto Hantshire, for the Service of the
Parliament.
Sir F. Knollis is likewise appointed to go into Berkshire.
Letter from Chambers.
A Letter from one Daniel Chambers to one Mr. Wm.
Courtney, concerning some Composition and Allowance
to be made some certain People in the North to the great
Cause, was read.
Mr. Glyn, Mr. Browne, Mr. Prideaux, Sir Wm. Armyn, * Rigby, * Bamfield, Mr. Oldworth, Mr. White,
are presently to retire, to examine Mr. Dormer, and the
whole Business concerning Chambers and Courtney; and
to prepare the Examinations into a Declaration; and to
take Order with the Posts, that both his Declaration, and
the Letter that came this Morning, relating the Passages
of the Fight * * * *
Relief of Coleraine.
Ordered, That the Lord Mayor of London be desired
to call unto him the several Churchwardens; and to take
an Account of the several Collections within the several
Parishes, for the Relief of Coleraine; and to receive the
Monies; and to issue them in Commodities, or other
Supplies, for the Relief of that Province, in such Manner
as shall be directed from both or either House.

Proceedings concerning Tiringham.
Ordered, That Mr. Tiringham do forthwith pay unto
Mr. Wm. Edwards, who was wounded in Apprehending
of him, Ten Pounds, towards Payment of the Cure of the
said Edwards: And that the Under Sheriff of the County
of Herts do sell the Horses he has in his Hand, of the
said Mr. Tirringham's; and with the Monies pay for the
Four Horses killed in the Pursuance and Apprehending
of him; And that Mr. Tirringham do remain in the Serjeant's Custody, where he is.
Persons sent for.
Resolved, upon the Question, That Robert Gerling
and Wm. Wise, of Lincolnshire, be forthwith sent for, as
Delinquents, in that the said Wise, being committed to
the Custody of Robert Gerling, with Order to be brought
to the Parliament, to answer a Mutiny he raised in Sutton Marsh; and other great Misdemeanors by him committed.
Member to be summoned.
Ordered, That Sir Sydney Mountague be summoned
forthwith to attend the Service of the House.
Committee to Cambridge.
Ordered, That Sir Dudley North and Sir Jo. Cutts do
forthwith repair into the County of Cambridge, to advance
the Service upon the Propositions in that County, and
other the Services of the Commonwealth.
Leave to buy Powder.
Ordered, That Mr. Ralph Asheton have Liberty to
buy Three Barrels of Powder, and Match proportionable,
at the usual Rates; and to send them down to Middleton, for Service of the King and Parliament.
Person sent for.
Resolved, upon the Question, That Dr. Andrewes, of
Godlyman in the County of Surrey, be forthwith sent
for, as a Delinquent; for slighting a Letter from the
Committee, concerning Contributions; and refusing absolutely to contribute.
Dep. Lieut. of Kent.
Resolved, That this House doth nominate and approve
of Sir Rich. Hardes, Mr. Blessenden, and Mr. Edw.
Boyse, of Betts Hanger, to be Deputy Lieutenants of the
County of Kent.

King's Children.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Ro. Riche and
Mr. Page;
The Lords have taken Notice, from the Lord Say, that
when there was a Commission for the King's Revenue:
That he had disbursed Seven hundred Pounds for the
King's Children, which was not yet reimbursed.
That the Lords had agreed to ... Order for the Payment of Eight hundred Pounds, for this Present Month
October, and so from Month to Month; They recommend
it to this House, how the Lord Say may be reimbursed
this Seven hundred Pounds, either out of those Assignments, or otherwise.
Ordered, That the Seven hundred Eighty-odd Pounds,
disbursed by the Lord Say, for the Maintenance of the
King's Children, shall be reimbursed unto him out of the
King's Revenues, arising from the Court of Wards.
Answer returned by the same Messengers: That this
House has considered their Lordships Message, and will
send Answer by Messengers of their own.
Sheriff of Surrey.
Resolved, That the High Sheriff of the County of Surrey be forthwith discharged, upon his undertaking to give
a satisfactory Answer to the Committee for the Propositions.
Surrey Committee.
Ordered, That Sir Jo. Cresham, Mr. Hoskins, Mr.
Angell, Mr. Edward Bish, Mr. Edm. Sanders, and Lord
Mounson, be added to the Committee for the Propositions
in the County of Surrey.
Bailing Denton, &c.
Resolved, That Sir Alexander Denton, Sir Robert Banastre, and Mr. Stafford, be forthwith bailed: And that
Mr. West do take Order, that such Witnesses as he can
produce, to make good the Information against Sir Alexander Denton and the rest, according to his Letter, may
be examined by the Committee in the County of Bucks;
and their Examinations sent up to the House.
Fane's Goods.
Ordered, That Mr. Antony Fane shall have Liberty to
transport and remove his Goods out of Surrey into Kent,
without any Lett or Interruption.

The Lords have appointed Ten of their House, and
desire this House would appoint a proportionable Number, to go this Afternoon to a Common Hall; to acquaint them with some Passages of the late Fight, at
Four of Clock.

acquaint them with some Passages of the late Fight between his Majesty's Army and the Forces raised by the
Parliament.

have appointed a proportionable Number to meet at a
Common Hall, as is desired.
