ORdered, That Sir Anthony Irby and Mr. Heveningham
do desire, from this House, Mr. Good and Mr. Ward
to preach before the Commons, the next Fast-Day, at St.
Margaret's Westminster.
A Letter from Sir Wm. Brereton, of the 22th of February 1644, of the Taking of Shrewsbury, was read;
and also a Letter from the Committee of Wembe, dated
at Salop, 22 Februarii, to the same Purpose, was read
also.
Ordered, That the Committee of Lords and Commons
for Advance of Monies, at Haberdashers-Hall, do forthwith advance the Sum of Twenty Pounds to the Messengers that brought the News of the Taking of Shrewsbury.
