Prayers.

ORdered, That all the Ministers of the several and respective Parishes within the Province of London be, and are hereby, required and injoined forthwith to put in Execution the Ordinances concerning Church-Government: And that the Citizens and Burgesses that serve for the said City of London, and for the City of Westminster, and Parts within the said Province, do send Copies of the said Ordinances, concerning Church-Government, to the several Parishes within the Limits aforesaid, together with this Order; and take their best Care, that the Government may be speedily settled, and put in Execution, in pursuance and according to the said Ordinances.

And it is further Ordered, That the Classes of the Inns of Court do forthwith put the said Ordinances for ChurchGovernment in Execution: And that the Printer of this House do print so many of all the said several Ordinances for Church-Government, as shall be necessary for the Service of the Kingdom.

Ordered, That the Committee for Enumeration, or any Five of them, do meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock; and consider of all the Ordinances concerning Church-Government; and of some sitting Way, how the Church-Government may be speedily put in Execution, and settled, throughout the whole Kingdom of England, Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed, according to the said Ordinances.

Resolved, &c. That the Ordinance concerning the Northern Association be revived, and continued from the First of June last, to the First of July next, according to the last Order for the Continuance thereof.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein.

Sir Robert Pye is appointed to carry it to the Lords.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Northern Association do meet this Afternoon; and speedily prepare and bring in an Ordinance for settling the Northern Association.

Resolved, &c. That a Message be sent to the Lords, to desire them to hasten the Propositions; and likewise to dispatch the Ordinance for enabling the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland to raise Men; and to acquaint them, That if the Kingdom of Ireland shall suffer Loss and Destruction by want of their Lordships Concurrence in the said Ordinance, that this House must discharge themselves from the said Loss and Destruction.

Mr. Pierpont went to the Lords with this Message.

The Amendments to the Five Votes of the Twelfth of December 1645, concerning such Delinquents as should not come in before the First of May, were read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered, so amended, to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence; and the Lords desired, That they may be added to the Propositions and Qualifications concerning Delinquents.

Sir Peter Wentworth is appointed to go to the Lords with this Message.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons as are comprehended within the First Clause of the Ninth Qualification of the Fourteenth, now Fifteenth Proposition, as have not come in, and rendered themselves, to the Parliament, before 1 Maii last, shall forfeit their whole Estates.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons as are comprehended within the Second Clause of the Ninth Qualification of the Fourteenth, now Fifteenth Proposition, as have not come in, and rendered themselves, to the Parliament, before 1 Maii last, shall forfeit their whole Estates.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons as are comprehended within the Third Clause of the Ninth Qualification of the Fourteenth, now Fifteenth Proposition, as have not come in, and rendered themselves, before the First of May last, shall forfeit Two Parts of their Estates in Three to be divided.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons as are comprehended within the Qualification concerning Judges, Lawyers, and Divines, as have not come in and rendered themselves to the Parliament before the First of May last, shall forfeit Two Parts of their Estates in Three to be divided.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons comprehended within the Qualification touching those Persons that are to forfeit a Sixth Part of their Estates on full Value, as have not come in and rendered themselves before the First Day of May last, shall forfeit a full Moiety of their whole Estates.

A Letter from the Committee at Yorke, of 5 Junii 1646, was this Day read.

A printed Copy of the King's Letter to the Marquis of Ormond, from Oxon, of 3 Aprilis 1646, signed, "By his Majesty's Command, Edward Nicholas;" printed at Dublyn, 21 Maii 1646; and signed "Ormond," and by Ten others of the Lords of the Privy Council of Ireland; was this Day read.

Sir Robert Pye carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Vote for continuing the Ordinance for the Northern Association from the First of June, to the First of July: The Ordinance for taking off the Delinquency of Thomas Pigott: The Ordinance for adding such Members of the House as shall be of any such Place where any Offence shall arise, as shall be brought to the Committee appointed in the Ordinance for Sins not enumerated, to the said Committee.

According to an Order Yesterday, and on Saturday last, made, the House resumed the Consideration of the Business upon the Report made by Mr. Stockdale; and upon Letters and Papers from the Scotts Commissioners, and other Parts.

Ordered, &c. That it be referred to the Committee following, to state the Matter of Fact, What Cause this House has of Complaint and Jealousies; and to prepare a Declaration upon it; to be reported to the House; to the end it may be represented to the State of Scotland, and the Scotts Commissioners here: And are to peruse the Papers sent in by the Scotts Commissioners; and to make such Use of them as they shall think fit:

Mr. Pierrepont brings Answer from the Lords, That they are now upon Consideration of the Propositions; and the Order for Levying of Men for Ireland; and will send a speedy Answer thereunto by Messengers of their own.

The Question being propounded, Whether that it appears by this Letter from the King to the Marquis of Ormond, of 3 Aprilis 1646, that the King went into the Scotts Army upon Design to set Division between the Two Kingdoms of England and Scotland, and to continue the War against the Parliament of England;

The Question was put, Whether this Question should be now put, or not:

And it passed with the Affirmative.

It is Resolved, &c. That it appears by this Letter from the King to the Marquis of Ormond, of 3 Aprilis 1646, that the King went into the Scotts Army upon Design to set Division between the Two Kingdoms of England and Scotland, and to continue the War against the Parliament of England.
