Thursday, the 27th of May, 1652.

Prayers.

Winchester College.

THE Question being propounded, That it be referred to the Committee of Hampshire, to take care, that the Books and Manuscripts late belonging to the Library of the Dean and Chapter of Winchester, be sent down to the Library of Winchester, there to remain for publick Use;

And the Question being put, That That Question be now put;

It passed with the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

The House was divided.
The Yeas went forth.

Sir Henry Mildmay, With the Yeas,
Mr. Marten, Tellers for the Noes: 16.
Mr. Tho. Challoner, With the Noes,

So it was Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee of Hampshire, to take care, that the Books and Manuscripts late belonging to the Library of the Dean and Chapter of Winchester, be sent down to the Library at Winchester College, there to remain for publick Use.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Hampshire, to examine who hath imbezzled the said Books and Manuscripts, and in whose Hands the said Books are; and to take care, that they be inventoried, and carried back to the said Library at Winchester College.

Supply Bill.

The Bill for raising by the Month, for Six Months; viz. from the 24th of June to the 25th of December next; towards the Maintenance of the Armies in England, Ireland, and Scotland, raised by Authority of Parliament, for the Service of the Parliament; was this Day . . . . the Second time.

The Question being put, That John Tregegle do stand a Commissioner in this Bill for the County of Cornwall;

It passed with the Negative.

Resolved, That Major General Skippon be inserted a Commissioner for the Counties of Bucks and Middlesex.

Resolved, That the Sum, to fill up the Blank in this Bill, be Ninety thousand Pounds by the Month.

Ordered, That the Proportions in the Bill for each County be as formerly.

Resolved, That this Bill be committed to the Committee of the Army: And all that come, to have Voices, as to this Purpose.

Publick Charges.

Resolved, That, notwithstanding the former Order, the House do sit, at Eight of Clock, on Wednesday next; and do then take into Consideration, how the Charges of the Commonwealth may be retrenched in any kind.

Delinquents Estate.

Ordered, That the additional Bill for Sale of Delinquents Estates, be reported on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business; nothing to intervene.

Fee-farm Rents.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill for Sale of the Remainder of the Fee-farm Rents, be read on Tuesday Morning next.
