Prayers.
London Sheriffs.
RESOLVED, That the Parliament doth dispense
with Robert Henley Esquire his executing the Office
of one of the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex for the
Year ensuing, notwithstanding the Act, intituled, An
Act disabling the Election of divers Persons to any Office,
or Place of Trust, within the City of London; and the
Votes of such Persons in such Elections; and from any
Penalty or Forfeiture, to be by him incurred by force of
that Act, for his executing the said Office of Sheriff of
London and Middlesex, for the Year aforesaid.
Irish Affairs.
The Form of a Commission, to be given to the
Commissioners of the Parliament for managing the
Affairs of Ireland, was this Day read.
Resolved, That the Names of the Commissioners voted
in Parliament be inserted, and the Blanks filled up, in
this Commission.
And the said Commission, so amended, being put to
the Question, was agreed unto.
Ordered, That the Lords Commissioners for the Great
Seal of England be impowered and required to give Warrant for preparing the said Commission, and to affix the
Great Seal of England thereunto, accordingly.
Army Accompts.
Mr. Garland reports Amendments to the Bill for stating
and determining the Accounts of such Officers and Soldiers as are, or have been, employed in the Service of
this Commonwealth in Ireland: Which were twice read;
and, upon the Question, assented unto.
And the Question being put, That this Bill, so
amended, be ingrossed;
It passed with the Negative.
And the said Act, so amended, being put to the
Question, passed. And it is
Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and
published.
Irish Affairs.
Mr. Scott reports an Act for giving several Powers to
several Persons constituted Commissioners for managing
the Affairs of Ireland, and for repealing the Powers of
the former Commissioners: Which was this Day read the
First time.
Resolved, That Oliver Cromwell, Captain General of
all the Forces raised by Authority of Parliament, be one
of the Commissioners of the Parliament in Ireland; and
that his Name be inserted into the Act, Commission, and
Instructions.
