Prayers.
Information against a Member.
A PAPER, containing an Information, given in
against Mr. Blagrave, by Samuel Oneale, was this
Day read.
Mr. Blagrave, attending the House, according to the
Order, after the Information read, stood up in his Place;
and gave an Account to the House, touching the Matters
in the said Information.
Order . . . That this Paper be referred to a Committee;
viz. to Major General Harrison, Colonel Marten, Mr.
Love, Sir Henry Vane, Sir Thomas Wroth, Mr. Solicitor,
Colonel Dove, Mr. Allein, Mr. Millington, Sir Arthure
Hesilrig, Colonel Harvey, Colonel Fielder, Mr. Weaver,
Colonel Lister, Mr. Cawley, Sir Henry Mildmay, Colonel
Rich, Colonel Bossevile, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Hallowes, Mr.
Carew, Alderman Pennyngton, Sir John Bourchier, Sir
John Hippisley, Mr. Corbett, Sir Wm. Masham, Mr. Challoner, Sir Wm. Armyn, Mr. Smyth, Colonel Bennett, Mr.
Strickland, Colonel Lassells, Sir Wm. Allanson, Mr. Holland, Sir John Danvers, Mr. Ralegh, Mr. Nevill, Mr.
Hussey, Colonel Ingoldsby, Mr. Sey, Mr. Edwards; or
any Five of them: And this Committee have Power to
hear the Parties, and to examine the whole Business,
and report the Truth of the Matter to the House; with
Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses: And this
Committee are likewise impowered to take into Consideration the Information now given to the House, touching
the receiving Money for nominating of Persons to Places
of Registers; and that they do examine the same, and
report to the House: And this Committee have Power
to examine upon Oath: And the Committee are to meet
this Afternoon in the Queen's Court, at Two of the
Clock: And Mr. John Corbett is to take care of it.
Corporations.
Resolved, That all that come to the Committee of Corporations have Voices: And that when any thing concerns
the Charter of any Corporation, for which there is any
Member serves in Parliament, that the Committee do
first give Notice thereof to such Member of Parliament,
before they send for the Charter: And that the Committee do take care to manage this Business so, as may be
most for the Ease of and least Charge to the People.
Branford Minister.
Resolved, That the same Augmentation that was formerly granted to Mr. Bennett, late Minister of New
Branford, be continued and paid unto Mr. Robert Goddin,
the now Minister there, in such sort as the same was
granted to Mr. Bennett; and that the Trustees for Maintenance of Ministers be authorized and required to give
Order for the Payment thereof accordingly.
Customs.
Ordered, That the Business touching the Farmers of
the Customs be taken into Consideration on this Day
Sevennight, the first Business.
Ordnance Office.
Ordered, That the Report touching the Arrears of the
Officers of the Ordnance, be made, the first Business, on
Tuesday Morning next.
Carmen.
Ordered, That the Report touching Carmen, be taken
into Consideration on this Day Sevennight, next after the
Business touching the Farmers of the Customs.
Poor.
Ordered, That the Bill for Relief of the Poor, be read
To-morrow Morning, the first Business.
