THE House this Day resumed the Debate upon the
Bill for further Providing for, and setting on Work,
of the Poor.
Resolved, That these Words; viz. "except as before
excepted," be added, next after the Word "Premises,"
in the 8th Line, in the 3d Page.
Resolved, That, after the Word "next," in the 23d
Line of the 3d Page, the Words "or second" be inserted.
Resolved, That the Blank, in the last Line but one of
the 3d Page, be filled up with these Words; viz.
"Twenty Pounds."
The Question being put, That this Clause, in the 7th
Line of the 6th Page; viz. "who shall be certified to
them under the Hands of the Minister, Churchwardens,
and some of the chiefest Inhabitants of the Parish where
the said Parties dwell; do stand in this Bill;
It passed with the Negative.
The Question being put, That these Words; viz.
"without renewing;" do stand in the Bill;
It passed with the Negative.
Resolved, That these Words; viz. "or any one or
more Justice or Justices of the Peace out of Sessions,"
be added, next after the Word "Justices," in the 18th
Line in the 6th Page.
Resolved, That these Words; viz. "or more," be
added, next after the Word "Acres," in the 19th Line
of the 10th Page.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Bill concerning
future Parliaments be reported on Wednesday Morning
next.
Prohibiting Correspondence with Holland.
Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy be enjoined
to sit this Afternoon; and to bring in a Bill, prohibiting
Correspondency with the States General of the United
Provinces, with all convenient Speed.
Transporting Horses.
Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy do make
their Report touching transporting Horses To-morrow
Sevennight.
The Question being propounded, That Sir Arthure
Hesilrig have Liberty to transport Six Geldings, paying
the ordinary Custom for the same;
And the Question being put, That that Question be
now put;
It passed with the Affirmative.
