Sale of Vaux-Hall.
AN Act impowering the Trustees at Worcester-House
to sell Vaux-Hall to John Trenchard Esquire, and
his Heirs, at Ten Years Purchase, was this Day read the
First and Second time.
And the Question being put, That this Act be ingrossed;
It passed with the Negative.
And the said Act, being put to the Question, passed.
Ordered, That the Report touching Colonel Tempell,
be made on Tuesday Morning next.
Carmen.
Ordered, That the Business touching the Carmen, be
made on Thursday Sevennight.
Customs.
Ordered, That the Act touching the Fine of One hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds, set upon the Farmers of
the Customs, be read on Thursday Sevennight.
Translation of the Bible.
Mr. Scott reports an Act impowering Persons to
translate the Bible out of the original Languages: Which
was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question,
ordered to be read the Second time, on this Day Sevennight.
Reprizes.
Ordered, That the Report touching Reprizes, be made
on Tuesday Morning next, after the Act for Probate of
Wills.
Propagating the Gospel.
The House, according to former Order, proceeded
upon the Proposals formerly reported: And the first Proposal was read at large: And the first Part of the said Proposal being read, was, after some Alteration at the Table,
agreed upon, in these Words; viz.
Resolved, by the Parliament, That Persons of Godliness,
and Gifts, of the Universities, and others, though not ordained, that shall be approved, shall receive the Publick
Maintenance for preaching the Gospel.
Correspondence with Switzerland.
Ordered, That the Answer to the Letter sent from the
Switzers be reported, on Tuesday Morning next, the first
Business; nothing to intervene.
The House, according to former Order, adjourned
itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
