Thursday, the 17th of November, 1653.

Crayford Minister.

THE humble Petition of the well-affected Inhabitants of Crayford, in Kent, was this Day read.

Resolved, That Mr. David Clarkson be, and is hereby settled Minister of Crayford in Kent.

Presentations to Benefices.

The Question being propounded, That the Power of Patrons to present to Benefices shall, from henceforth, be taken away; and that a Bill be brought in for that Purpose;

And the Question being put, That this Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

Sir Anth. Ashley Cooper, Tellers for the Noes: 43.
Alderman Titchborne, With the Noes,
Colonel Blount, Tellers for the Yeas: 59.
Alderman Ireton, With the Yeas,

So it passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

The House was again divided.

The Yeas went forth.

Mr. King, With the Noes,
Colonel Bennet, Tellers for the Yeas: 58.
Mr. Moyer, With the Yeas,
