Prayers.

Settling the Government.

THE House entering upon the Debate, according to the Vote Yesterday: It was moved,

And the Question being put, That the House be now resolved into a Committee of the whole House, for the Taking up the Debate of this Business, according to the Order;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

Sir Charles Wolsley, Tellers for the Noes: 136.
Mr. Strickland, With the Noes,
Serjeant Bradshaw, Tellers for the Yeas: 141.
Colonel John Birch, With the Yeas,

So it was Resolved, That the House be now resolved into a Committee of the whole House, for the Taking-up the Debate of this Business, according to the Order.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Nathaniel Bacon was called to the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
