Prayers.
Settling the Government.
THE House was this Day, according to former Order, resolved into a Committee of the whole House
upon the Government.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins was called to the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins reports from the Committee, The Desire
of the said Committee, That the House would give them
Leave to sit again To-morrow.
Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, to proceed
upon the Government, according to former Order.
Scandalous Ministers.
Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Ordinance
for ejecting scandalous, ignorant, and insufficient Ministers and Schoolmasters is referred, be also impowered to
take into Consideration the Ordinance appointing Commissioners for Approbation of publick Preachers: And,
upon the whole Matter, to make Report to the House.
Privilege.
Complaint was made to the House, That, while Colonel
Madrin, a Member of this House, was attending at the
Committee of Privileges, William Lloyd, menial Servant
of the said Colonel, waiting in Westminster-Hall for his
Master's coming from the Committee, was arrested upon
a Bill of Middlesex: Colonel Madryn, being now present,
doth affirm, that the said Wm. Lloyd is his menial Servant, and the only Servant he hath in Town.
Resolved, That the said Wm. Lloyd be discharged of
his Imprisonment: And that a Warrant be issued, under
the Hand of Mr. Speaker, for his Discharge.
