THE Grand Committee sat, to take into Consideration the Ordinance sent from the Lords, for inhibiting Persons, not ordained, to preach.
Mr. Whittacre in the Chair.-
Ambassador at Constantinople.
Mr. Roll, according to the Order Yesterday made,
carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance
and Commission for Sir Thomas Bendishe to be Ambassador to negociate the Merchants Affairs at Constantinople.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Roll brings Answer, That the Lords do agre to
the Ordinance and Commission for Sir Thomas Bendish to
be Ambassador at Constantinople.
Letter read.
A Letter from the Commissioners at Newcastle, of the
26th of January 1646, was this Day read.
Reward to Messenger.
Ordered, upon the Question, That the Committee of
the Revenue do pay unto Walter Curtis, the Messenger
that brought these Letters from the Commissioners at
Newcastle, the Sum of Twenty Pounds.
