Gospel in Wales.
AN Act for the better Propagation and Preaching of
the Gospel in Wales, and Redress of some Grievances, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the
Question, passed; and ordered to be printed and published.
Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee which
brought in the Act for propagating the Gospel in Wales,
to consider of some Instructions for Direction of the
Commissioners in this Act, and others of like Nature, in
their Proceedings in Cases under the Titles of Malignancy, Delinquency, None Residency, and Scandal, as they
are contained in any Act, Order, or Ordinance of Parliament, or otherwise, as they shall think fit; and present
the same to the House: And that Mr. Gurdon and Mr.
Lislebone Long be added to that Committee: And all
that come are to have Voices: And the special Care
thereof is commended to Colonel Harrison: And they
are to meet in Mr. Speaker's Chamber, To-morrow at
Two of Clock in the Afternoon; and so de die in diem.
Gospel in Northern Counties.
An Act for the better Propagating and Preaching of
the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Four Northern Counties, and for the Maintenance of godly and able Ministers
and Schoolmasters there, was this Day read the First and
Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the
same Committee who brought in the Act for Wales:
And all that come to have Voices; and to bring it in on
This-day-sevennight.
Council of State.
Sir Henry Vane junior reports from the Council of
State, the Form of the Oath of Secrecy, for the Persons
that are of the Council of State for the Year ensuing;
viz.
I being nominated, for the Year ensuing, of the Council of State, by this present Parliament, do promise, in
the Sight of God, that, through his Grace, I will be
faithful in the Performance of the Trust committed to
me; and therein faithfully pursue the Instructions given
to the said Council by this present Parliament; and not
reveal or disclose any thing, in Whole, or in Part, directly or indirectly, that shall be debated or resolved upon
in the Council, and ordered to be kept secret by the
said Council, without the Command, Direction, or Allowance, of the Parliament, or Council.
Which was read; and, upon the Question, agreed
unto.
An Act, enabling the Council of State, or any Three
of them, to administer an Oath of Secrecy to the Members of that Council, for the Year ensuing, was read;
and, upon the Question, passed.
Gatesyde Tythes, &c.
Resolved, That the Arrears of the Tythes and Duties,
in the Hands of the Inhabitants of Gatesyde in the County
of Duresme, be paid to Mr. Thomas Wells, for the Repair of the Parsonage House.
Norwich Ministers.
An Act for Uniting of Churches, and Maintenance of
Ministers, in the City of Norwich, was this Day read the
Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to
the same Committee to whom the like Bill for Bristoll is
committed.

Ordered, That the Petition of sundry Frenchmen, Inhabitants in the City of Westminster, &c. be read on
This-day-sevennight, the first Business.
Ministers Maintenance.
An additional Act for providing Maintenance for
Preaching Ministers, and other pious Uses, was this Day
read the First time; and ordered to be read the Second
time on This-day-sevennight.
