Representation and Elections.
ACCORDING to former Order, the House was
this Day resolved into a Grand Committee touching
an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Say reports from the Grand Committee touching
an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections,
That the Grand Committee have adjourned until Thisday-sevennight; and desire Leave of the House to sit then
accordingly.
Resolved, That this House be resolved into a Grand
Committee on This-day-sevennight; to sit upon the
Heads of a Bill touching an equal Representative, and
Regulating of Elections.
Persons pardoned.
Resolved, That this House doth approve of the Pardon of Cuthbert Robson, late of Baumlon in the County
of Northumberland, Labourer; Allen Hedlee, late of Sill
in the County of Northumberland aforesaid, Labourer;
John Lumley, late of Staindrop in the County of Duresme,
Labourer; Thomas Teasdale, late of Sleley in the County
of Northumberland aforesaid, Yeoman; Roger Howell,
late of Wakefield in the County of York, Labourer;
Joshua Hinscliff, late of Kirkburton in the County of York
aforesaid, Labourer; John Coates, late of Newton Kine in
the County of York aforesaid, Labourer; Edward Smith,
late of Clint in the County of York aforesaid, Labourer;
Wm. Whitton, late of Ayton in the County of York aforesaid, Labourer; and Stephen Scott, late of Horsforth in
the County of York aforesaid; and to each of them: A
Draught of which Pardon, subscribed by the Judges of
Assize and Gaol Delivery for the Northern Circuit, was
now read. And
It is Ordered, That the Lords Commissioners for the
Great Seal of England be authorized and required to
pass the said Pardon under the Great Seal of England
accordingly.
Delinquents Estates.
Mr. Stephens reports a Bill, authorizing a Committee
for Advance of Money, late sitting at Haberdashers Hall,
to compound for such Estates, real and personal, of concealed Delinquents, not being sequestered, as shall be
discovered.
Which was read the First and Second time; and, upon
the Question, committed to the former Committee: Who
are to sit this Afternoon; and so de die in diem; and to
bring it in on Saturday next.
Lancaster Assizes.
An Act for the Assizes to be kept for the County of
Lancaster was this Day read; and, upon the Question,
the Word "Lancaster," being inserted instead of the
Word. "Preston," in several Places; and the said Act,
so amended, being put to the Question, passed.
Resolved, That, in the Order made the Twenty-seventh
of February last, touching the Interest of such Part of
the Seventy thousand Pounds, therein mentioned, as hath
not been borrowed, or taken up, from Credit of the
Order of the First of February 1647, these Words, "from
the Date of the said Order," be inserted, instead of these
Words, "from the Time the said Seventy thousand
Pounds, or any Part thereof, became due."
Indemnity of Tenants, &c.
An Act for the Indemnity of Tenants, and others,
who have, in the late Wars, expressed their good Affection
to the Parliament against the Injuries and Oppressions of
their ill-affected Landlords, and other Persons that have
adhered to the late King against the Parliament, was this
Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered
to be read again the Second time, the First Business, on
Saturday Morning next.
