Parliament further prorogued.
HIS Majesty having, the Seventeenth Day of May
last, prorogued the Parliament to this present
Twentieth Day of August; and, by his Proclamation
of the Fifteenth of July last, declared his Pleasure for
the further Prorogation thereof till the Twenty-fourth
of November next; his Majesty was pleased to grant
his Commission to certain of the Lords, to declare his
Pleasure for the Prorogation of the Parliament to the
said Twenty-fourth of November next.
The House being met;
A Message was sent from the Lords, by Sir John
Eyton, Usher of the Black Rod; viz.
Mr. Speaker,
I am commanded to acquaint you, from the House of
Peers, That the King had sent a Commission to certain
Members of that House; who desire the Attendance of
this honourable House to communicate the same to
them.
And, accordingly, Mr. Speaker, with the House, went
up to attend the House of Lords: And his Majesty's
Commission was there read; whereby the Parliament
was prorogued to the Twenty-fourth of November next.
