Mr. Packer reports from the Committee to which
the Bill for Naturalization of Dame Mary Frazer,
and others, was committed, some Amendments agreed
to be made, and Two to be struck out of the Bill:
Which Amendments be read. And the same being delivered in at the Clerk's Table; and twice read; and,
upon the Question, agreed;
The Question being put, That the Name of Doctor
Basire and Sir Wm. Throckmorton be inserted into the Bill;
It was resolved in the Affirmative.

A Bill for investing the Estate of James Lord Norris

Message from the King- Expediting Business.
Mr. Secretary Morice delivers a Message, in Writing,
from his Majesty to Mr. Speaker: Which was twice
read; and is as followeth;
HIS Majesty is sorry, that the Difficulty his House
of Commons hath met with, hath detained them so long,
without perfecting his Supply. His Majesty could wish,
That the Posture of His Affairs would permit the giving
His Two Houses a short Recess at Christmas: But the
Season of the Year being considered, and how much the
necessary Preparations against the Spring depend upon
the Dispatch of the Supply He assures Himself is preparing
for Him, He cannot think it consistent with His Service,
and the publick Safety, to permit any Adjournment (except for the chief Festival Days), until That, and the other
most publick Bills, be perfected; which he desires may
be hastened; and which his Majesty should be glad, if
possible, might be finished by Christmas, as well for their
Ease, as for his own Service. Given at the Court at
Whitehall, the 15 Day of December, 1666.

not admitted to sit, till they have paid their Fees.
Members Attendance.
Ordered, That a Bill be brought in for an effectual
Course to be taken against such Members as are, or shall
be, elected to serve, and shall refuse or neglect to attend
the Service of the House: And that it be referred to
Mr. Pryn, Mr. Serjeant Mainard, Sir Thom. Littleton,
Mr. Garraway, Sir Robert Howard, Sir Robert Atkins, Mr.
Serjeant Charlton, Sir Thom. Meres, Sir Richard Temple,
or any Two of them, to prepare and bring in a Bill.
Resolved, &c. That the Second Day of January next
be appointed to call the House: And that all such Members as shall then fail to give their Attendance, be sent
for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms.
Loyal Officers.
Ordered, That the Committee for the indigent loyal
Officers be revived: And they are to sit on Monday next,
in the Star Chamber, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And all that shall come shall have Voices: And
that Mr. Grills be discharged from the Custody of the
Serjeant at Arms, paying his Fees; but be ordered not to
depart into the Country, but to attend the Committee, as
often as he shall be summoned: And that the Committee
do examine the Matter of the Accompt which concerns
him; and report it to the House.
Winchelsea Election.
Ordered, That the Report concerning the Election of
Winchelsea be heard the Third Day of January next.
Supply Bill.
Resolved, &c. That the House will, on Monday Morning next, resolve into a Committee of the whole House,
to proceed on the Bill for the monthly Assessment: And
that they do fill up the Blanks in that Bill for raising so
much of the whole One million Eight hundred thousand
Pounds Supply for his Majesty, which shall be found
wanting on the Estimate of the Poll Bill.
And then the House adjourned till Monday
