Shirley's Estate.
A BILL for confirming a Settlement of the Estate of
Sir Seymor Shirley Baronet was read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Lord Fitzharding, Sir Robert Atkins, Mr. Steward, Sir John Talbott, Mr. Mallett, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Seymour, Sir Robert
Carr, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Westphaling, Colonel Phillips, Sir
Wm. Killegrew, Colonel Birch, Doctor Areis, Sir Solom.
Swale, Sir Thom. Allen, Sir Edw. Masters, Sir James
Thyn, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir John Morton, Sir Humfry
Wynch, Doctor Burwell, Sir Richard Oateley, Lord Saint

The Plague.
An ingrossed Bill for such as shall be infected with the
Plague was read: And some Amendments made thereto at the Table;
And a Debate arising on that Clause in the Bill concerning Bishops, Deans, and Chapters;
Ordered, That Mr. Crouch, Sir John Birkenhead, Mr.
Whorwood, Sir Thom. Lee, Mr. Garraway, Mr. Hyde,
Mr. Pepis, Sir Thom. Meres, Sir Charles Harbord, Mr.
Ratcliffe, do withdraw, and prepare a Clause on the present Debate; and for making Provision, where Deans
and Chapters are absent, and no * Justice resident, for
a concurrent Power to the Mayor, or chief Officer, or
Justices of such Places, to act in such Cases.
Canary Patent.
Mr. Seymour reports from the Committee appointed
to draw up Reasons to be given at a Conference with
the Lords upon the Matter of the Patent of the Canary
Company, several Reasons agreed by the Company;
Which he opened in his Place.
Resolved, &c. That the Reasons reported be allowed
for Heads of the Conference.
Ordered, That a Conference be desired with the Lords,
upon the Message by them sent down, relating to the
Patent of the Canary Company: And Mr. Seymour is
to desire the Conference.
Tayleur's Petition.
Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of
Grievances, upon the Petition of Mr. Tayleur, be heard
To-morrow Morning.
Committee of Grievances.
Resolved, &c. That the Committee of Grievances do
receive no Business till after Christmas.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Pryn, Sir Robert
Atkins, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Thomas Gower, Sir Thom.

Supply Bill.
A Proviso was tendered touching the Borough of Thetford, to be added to the Bill of Assessment.
Resolved, &c. That, upon the Report from the Committee of the whole House, Leave be given to tender a
Proviso touching the Borough of Thetford.
Resolved, &c. That Leave be given to move the Matter
touching the City and County of Chester at the Committee of the whole House.
A Proviso was tendered for taking up Monies upon Security of the Bill of the Assessment; and was twice read.
Resolved, &c. That the Proviso be committed to the
Committee of the whole House.
The Plague.
A Proviso was brought in, according to the Direction
of the House, to be inserted in the Bill touching the Plague:
Which was twice read; and agreed to be inserted.
Which was done.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the
Title be, An Act for making Provision for such Places
and Persons as shall be infected with the Plague.
And then the House adjourned till Two of the
Clock in the Afternoon.

Frazer's &c. Nat.
AN ingrossed Bill for the Naturalizing of Dame Mary
Frazer, and others, was read.
Resolved, &c. That Thomas Allen, an Infant, Son of
Sir Thomas Allen, born in France, be inserted into the said
Bill of Naturalization.
Which being accordingly done; and thrice read;
Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that
the Title be, An Act for Naturalizing of Dame Mary
Frazer, and others: And that Sir John Birkenhead do
carry up this Bill to the Lords; with the rest of the ingrossed Bills passed.
Lady Hollis' Nat.
Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill for
Naturalization of the Lady Hollis is committed, be revived; and do sit To-morrow in the Afternoon at Two
of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.
Chimney Money.
Ordered, That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for
regulating Abuses in the Collecting of Chimney Money.
Coinage.
Ordered, That the Amendment of the Lords to the
Bill concerning Coinage be taken into Consideration Tomorrow Morning.
Supply Bill.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the
whole House, upon the Bill of Assessment.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Steward took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Steward reports, That the Committee had entered
upon the Bill of Assessment, but thought not fit to proceed thereupon, till the House had given some Directions
concerning the filling up the Blanks in the Bill to the
Sum of Money to be inserted.
Poll Bill.
The House debate the Estimate of the Poll Bill.
The Question being put, That the House agree with
the Committee that brought in an Estimate of what may
be raised by the Poll Bill, That the same be Five hundred
Forty thousand and Thirty-five Pounds:
