Prayers.
Fowler's Estate.
MR. Street reports from the Committee to which
the Bill for enabling Mr. Fowler to receive the
Rents and Profits of certain Lands in the Counties of Salop
and Stafford, during the Infancy of Francis Leveson, was
committed, some Amendments agreed to be added to the
Bill: Which being twice read; and, upon the Question,
agreed; but it being moved on the Behalf of Sir Richard
Temple, who is concerned in point of Interest, that he
might be heard at the Bar, before the Bill passed;
Ordered, That Sir Richard Temple be heard by his
Counsel at the Bar of this House, as to his Claim in the
Estate mentioned in the Bill concerning Mr. Fowler, on
Monday next.
Supply Bill; Wine Duties, &c.
Mr. Vaughan reports from the Committee appointed
to bring in a Clause to be added to the Bill for his Majesty's Supply, a Clause agreed by the Committee: Which
he read in his Place, and after delivered the same in at
the Clerk's Table: Which was twice read: And an
Amendment, as to such who shall lend Money on the
Credit of the Act, to be repaid it with Interest gratis,
and without any Fee, was twice read; and, upon the
Question, agreed to be added, in the last Line of the
Third Folio, after the Word "other."
The Question being put, That the Word "Summer"
shall stand in the Bill;
It passed in the Negative.
Resolved, &c. That the Word "Year" be added in
the Bill: and that "1668" be also added.
Resolved, That the Proviso, amended, be made Part
of the Bill.
A Proviso was tendered, and read; for fixing a Part of
the Revenue arising by Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage, for setting out a Fleet every Year.
The Question being put, That the Proviso be read the
Second time.

A Proviso for a Peny in the Pound only, to be allowed
to the Treasurer of the Navy, for receiving and paying
the Monies, was twice read; and, upon the Question,
agreed to.
Another Proviso, tending to this Effect, that the Duty
shall cease when the Money is raised, though it be within
Two Years, was tendered, and once read; and laid aside.
A Proviso to exclude Members of this House from
being Commissioners, was read.
The Question being put, That this Proviso be read the
Second time;
It passed in the Negative.
A Proviso relating to the Vintners, was read; and
laid aside.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Provisoes and
Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this
Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow at Two of the
Clock in the Afternoon; and to sit in the Places formerly
appointed.
