Privilege.
INformation being given of a Breach of Privilege,
committed by one John Stone, an Attorney, against the
Lord Ancram, a Member of this House; and contemptous Words by him spoken against the House;
Ordered, That the said John Stone be sent for, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, to
answer his Breach of Privilege.
Davison's Estate.
Sir Robert Carr reports from the Committee, to which
the Bill to enable Mr. Davison to sell Lands, for Payment of Debts, and making Provision for his Children,
was committed, several Amendments agreed to be made
to the Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the
Question, severally agreed.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments,
be ingrossed.
Wine Duties.
A Petition of William Clifton, Francis Jeoffryes, and
other, Vintners, in and about the City of London, was
read.
Resolved, &c. That this Petition be referred to the
Committee, to which it was referred to inspect the Act
for an Imposition on Wines; and to see wherein it was
defective; to examine the Matter of the Petition; and
report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House.
Relief of indigent Officers.
A Petition of Sir John Bennett; a Member of this
House, being tendered and read; complaining of Abuses
in the Collectors of the Money for the indigent loyal
Officers, and retarding the Account thereof;
Ordered, That the Commissioners appointed by Act
of Parliament, to take the Account of the Monies to be
distributed amongst the indigent loyal Officers, be desired
to meet on Friday next; at which time Sir John Bennett
is to attend them: And they are desired to examine the
Matter of the Petition, and where the Obstruction lies,
that the Accounts are retarded; and to report the State
of the Matter to the House, with their Opinions therein.
Wey Navigation.
A Bill concerning the Settling the Navigation of the
River Wey, was read.
Another Bill concerning the same Matter was read.
Ordered, That these Bills be read a Second time.
Geutill's Nat.
Ordered, That Ames Gentill, born in the Kingdom of
France, be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization.
Supply Bill; Duty on Brandy.
Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for
regulating and well making of Brandy; and for making
Provision in all the other Matters and Instructions contained in the order of Reference to the Committee concerning that Matter: And it is recommended to Sir
Robert Howard to take care of it.
Prettyman's Debt to the Crown.
Ordered, That a Bill be brought in for making Sale of
Part of the Lands of Sir John Prettyman, for Satisfaction
of a Debt due to his Majesty.
St. Alban, Minister's Maintenance.
Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, on
the behalf of the Town of St. Alban, for raising Maintenance for a Minister.

Lord Strangford's Estate.
Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down Two
Bills; the one intituled, An Act for settling certain charitable Uses, devised by John late Bishop of Rochester;
and the other, intituled, An Act to enable the Trustees
for the Lord Viscount Strangford, of the Kingdom of
Ireland, to sell certain Lands, for the Payment of the
Remainder of his Debts: To which they desire the
Concurrence of this House.

Some Proposals being made in the House, for putting
an End to the Controversy touching the Duty on Brandy;

Regulating Jurors.
Sir Thomas Gower reports from the Committee to
which the Bill concerning Jurors, was committed, several
Amendments to be made, and Clauses and Provisoes to
be added, to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence;
and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table:
