St. James' Parish.
A BILL for making St. James's Parish, distinct from
St. Martins in the Fields, was read the First time.
The Question being put, That the said Bill be read a
Second time;
The House was divided.

Privilege- Persons discharged from custody.
Upon the Motion of Mr. Russel, who acquainted the
House, that Thomas Cooke and John Taylor, now in the
Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, for arresting his menial
Servant, that the said Persons were very poor, and humbly
begged the Pardon of the House;
Ordered, That the said Thomas Cooke and John Taylor
be discharged from the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms
attending this House, paying their Fees.
Supply.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the
whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of
his Majesty's Supply.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Seymour reports from the said Committee, that
they had made some further Progress in the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply; and moved, from the Committee, that the House would resolve into a Committee of
the whole House To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock,
to proceed in the further Consideration thereof.
Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Committee, that this House be resolved into a Committee of
the whole House To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock,
to proceed in the further Consideration of his Majesty's
Supply.
Fees in Out ports.
Ordered, That the Committee for Examination of the
Fees of Customs in the Out Ports, be revived; and do
sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's
Chamber.
Downton Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do certify the Lord Keeper
of the Great Seal of England of the Death of Mr. Buckland, who lately served as a Member of this House, for
the Borough of Downton in the County of Wiltes; desiring
him, that a Writ may issue forth under the Great Seal,
for a new Election of a Member, to serve in this present
Parliament, in his place and stead.
