Corporation for Poor.

A Petition of some of the Governors of the Corporation for the Poor was read.

And a Debate arising thereupon, as to the transferring and changing the Government of the Corporation into other Hands; and paying such Monies, as are owing, to the present Governors;

Resolved, &c. That the Matter, upon the said Petition, be heard at the Bar of this House, on Thursday next in the Afternoon: And the Petitioners have Notice then to attend.

Hearth Money.

Privilege-Petition from a Person in custody.

A Petition of John Knight Esquire, Mayor of the City of Bristoll, now in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms for a supposed Breach of Privilege, was read.

Ordered, That the Petition be referred to the Committee of Privileges, to take the same into Consideration on this Day Sevennight; and report the Matter, with their Opinions therein, to the House: And Mr. Knight, upon his Security to appear, is discharged out of the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms.

Buying and selling Cattle.

The House then proceeded to the Second Reading of the remaining Amendments, reported, to the Bill on the Behalf of the indigent loyal Officers; some of which were, upon the Question, agreed: And, as to the Amendments postponed, for filling up the Blanks in the Bill with Commissioners Names, and how many shall be of the Quorum, the Blanks were, upon the Question, agreed to be filled with the Commissioners appointed to take the Accounts of publick Monies at Brooke-house: And the Quorum to be Three of them: And it was referred to Sir Thomas Meeres, Sir Philip Mounckton, Sir Robert Carr, Sir John Coriton, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir John Birkenhead, Sir Jonath. Indigent Officers.

Ordered, That an Address be made to his Majesty, by such Members of this House as are of his Majesty's Privy Council, that his Majesty would be pleased to give Order, that such Monies belonging to the loyal indigent Officers, as have been paid in to the Exchequer, may be repaid from thence for the Use of the said loyal Officers.

Committees.

Sams' Charities.

Doctor Burwell reports from the Committee to which the Bill for settling a charitable Use, intended by John Sams, was committed, one single Amendment to be made to the said Bill: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table; Which being twice read, and agreed;

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendment, be ingrossed.
