provide a Clause to be added to this Bill, or prepare a
distinct Bill by itself against unlawful Fishing; and to
prevent robbing of Ponds and Rivers, and making Destruction of Fish.
Fines and Forfeitures.
A Bill for the better levying and collecting of Fines
and Forfeitures payable to his Majesty, was read the
First time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.
Grocers Company.
Ordered, That the Bill concerning the Grocers Company be read the First Business To-morrow Morning.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees that were discontinued,
be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.
Supply Bill; foreign Commodities.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the
whole House, upon the Bill of additional Impositions on
foreign Commodities.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Resolved, &c. That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, Ten of
the Clock, to proceed in the further Consideration of the
Bill of additional Impositions on foreign Commodities.
Ordered, That it be referred to Sir Geo. Downing, Col.
Birch, Sir Thom. Lee, Mr. Love, Sir Thom. Meeres, Sir
Robert Howard, or any Three of them, to consider of
the Clause in the Bill of additional Impositions on foreign
Commodities, concerning the Conviction of Persons importing any of the prohibited Goods, so to amend it, if they
see Cause) as that the Proof may be laid on the Party accused; or else to bring in a new Clause for that Purpose.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow
