A Bill, sent from the Lords, for making a Provision
for Nevill Yelverton, born after the Death of his Father
Sir Henry Yelverton, was read.

Ordered, That the Bill for determining Differences
touching Houses burned, be read the First time on
Monday Morning.
Supply Bill; foreign Commodities.
The House then proceeded in the Second Reading, and
Debate of the Amendments to the Bill for an Imposition
on foreign Commodities; and went through and agreed
to all the Amendments to the additional Clauses.
Naval Stores.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Mond. Bramston
and Sir Andr. Hacket;
Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you a Bill, intituled,
An Act to revive an Act, intituled, An Act to prevent
the Disturbances of Seamen and others, and to preserve
the Stores belonging to his Majesty's Navy Royal; with
some Alterations and Additions, to which they desire the
Concurrence of this House.
Preventing Growth of Popery.
Ordered, That the Committee formerly appointed to
inquire into the Causes of the Growth of Popery, be
added and joined to the Committee to whom the Bill
concerning the Repair of Churches, is committed:
Which Committee is revived; to sit on Monday, at Two
of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly
appointed.

Debate of the Clauses, to be made Part of the Bill of
Impositions on foreign Commodities:
And the First, for collecting the Duties at the Custom-house; and the Second, to discourage the bringing in
foreign Commodities; were, with some Amendments,
upon the Question, agreed, and made at the Table, were
severally, upon the Question, agreed to be made Part
of the Bill:
The Third Clause, to encourage the Exportation of
Corn, being read a Second time; and some Amendments agreed, and made at the Table;
The Question being put, To agree to the Amendment
in the Clause for exporting Corn, for inserting these
Words, viz. "In English Shipping, the Master, and Two
Thirds of the Mariners at least, being his Majesty's
Subjects;"
