Privilege.
SIR Robert Howard reports from the Committee to
which the Matter upon the Petition of Sir John Prettyman was committed, That the Committee had examined and heard all Parties concerned; and examined the
Matter complained of in the Petition; and did find, that
the Petitioner could not make good any of the Matters
therein suggested, either against Sir Edward Hungerford,
or Mr. Clayton, "that they had sold or disposed the
Lands mentioned in the Petition at under Value, or
otherwise injured, or broken their Agreement with the
Petitioner in the least:" And that the Committees had
commanded Report thereof to be made to the House,
for the Vindication of the said Sir Edward Hungerford,
and Mr. Clayton.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the
Committee in the Report abovementioned.

Supply Bill; Law Proceedings.
Then the House resolved into a Committee of the
whole House, upon the Bill for laying Impositions on
Proceedings in Courts of Law, and other Courts.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir Robert Atkins reports from the said Committee,
That they had made some further Progress in the said
Bill; and humbly moved, from the said Committee, that
the House would resolve into a Committee of the whole
House, to proceed further therein To-morrow Morning,
Ten of the Clock.
Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Committee, that the House will resolve into a Committee
To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock, to proceed in
the further Consideration of the Bill, for (fn. [a]) laying Impositions on Proceedings in Law, and other Courts;
nothing to intervene.
Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to
whom the Matter concerning Mr. Thomas was referred,
be made To-morrow Morning.
Resolved, &c. That the House do sit on Saturday and
Monday, both Forenoon and Afternoon, upon the Bill
for laying Impositions in Courts of Law, and other Courts;
and that, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, whatever
Business be then in Debate, be adjourned.
And then the House adjourned for Three of the
Clock, Afternoon.

Workhouses.
SIR John Birkenhead reports from the Committee to
which the Bill for settling the Workhouses, and setting
the Poor on Work, was committed, several Clauses, by
way of Amendment, agreed to be made Part of the Bill:
Which he read in his Place; and after delivered the same
in at the Clerk's Table: And the Three first Clauses
were twice read; and, with some Alterations upon the
Question, agreed, and made at the Table.
The Clause of Amendment, for such as are Justices not
to be Members of the Corporation, was twice read: And
some Amendments agreed thereto, upon the Question.
The Question being put, That the Clause be agreed;

whom the Bill for preventing the Exportation of Wool,
