Writs of Habeas Corpus.
MR. Speaker opens the ingrossed Bill for the speedy
Relief of Prisoners detained for criminal Matters.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the
Title be, An Act for the speedy Relief of Prisoners detained for criminal Matters.
And Mr. Sawyer is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.
Duty on Law Proceedings.
Mr. Powle reports from the Committee to which the
Bill for the better ascertaining the Duty upon Proceedings at Law, was committed, several Amendments agreed
to be made, and a Proviso to be added, to the Bill: Which
he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards,
delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which Amendments were twice read; and, with an Alteration made to
the Proviso, at the Table, was, upon the Question,
agreed.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments
and Proviso agreed to, be ingrossed.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Mr. Daniell have the Leave of this
House, to go into the County, for Recovery of his
Health.
Westminster Court of Conscience.
A Bill for erecting a Court of Conscience within the
City of Westminster and Liberties thereof, was read.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time,
in a full House.
Test to be taken by Members.
Sir Nicholas Carew reports, and delivers in a Bill, from
the Committee appointed to prepare a Bill for a Test to
be taken by the Members of both Houses: Which Bill
was read a First time.
Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read a Second time,
To-morrow Morning.
Trials of Peers.
An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, for the better regulating the Trials of the Peers of England, was read the

Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Sherwood, Sir Henry Thompson,
Lord Castleton, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Weld, be added to
the Committee to which the State of the Kingdom of
Ireland is committed.
Piscary Preservation.
Ordered, That the Committee, to which the Bill for
Preservation of the Piscary in the Rivers of Severne,
Avon, and Teame, was committed, be revived; and do sit
on Wednesday next, in the Place formerly appointed:
And that Mr. Weld and Mr. Oakley be added to the said
Committee.
