A BILL for erecting a new Church in the Parish of
St. Martin's in the Fields, was read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.
St. Asaph's Cathedral.
An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An
Act for appropriating the Rectories of Llanrhayder in
Mochnant, in the Counties of Denbigh and Mountgomery,
of Skieviog in the County of Flint, for Repairs of the
Cathedral Church of St. Asaph; and for the better Maintenance of the Choir there; and also for the uniting
several Rectories sine cura, and the Vicarages of the same
Parishes, within the Diocese of St. Asaph aforesaid; was
read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.
Burying in Woolen.
An ingrossed Bill for Burying in Woolen, was read the
Third time.
And an Amendment . . . made at the Table;
Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the
Title be, An Act for Burying in Woolen.
Grantham Election.
A Petition of Sir Wm. Ellis, Baronet, complaining of
an undue Return of Sir Robert Markham Baronet, to
serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of
Grantham in the County of Lincolne, in Injury of the
Petitioner, who was duly elected, by the Majority of the
Electors, a Burgess to serve for the said Borough, and
ought to have been returned.
Resolved, &c. That the Petition be referred to the
Consideration of the Committee of Privileges and Elections; to examine the Matter; and report the same, with
their Opinions therein, to the House.
Woolen Manufactures.
An ingrossed Bill for Wearing of Woolen Manufactures,
was read the Third time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the
Title be, An Act for the Wearing of the Woolen Manufacture, and regulating the Making thereof.
And Sir George Downing is to carry up the Bill to the
Lords; as also the Bill for Burying in Woolen; for their
Concurrence.
Quakers, Dissenters, and Popish Recusants.
The House being informed, that several Quakers, and
other Persons, that are Dissenters from the Church of
England, are returned into the Exchequer, as Popish
Recusants convict; and Process issued out of the said
Court against them, as Popish Recusants; and the Twothirds of their Estates levied in Pursuance thereof;
Resolved, &c. That it be referred to a Committee, to
inquire, Whether the Persons called Quakers, or any dissenting Protestants, have been convicted, as Popish Recusants, and the Two thirds of their Estates levied; and
whether that, on the Persons that are Popish Recusants,
and have been convicted, the Penalties have not been
levied: And that the Committee do consider, to make a
Distinction of Popish Recusants from other Dissenters
from the Church of England.

Growth of Popery.
Resolved, &c. That the House will, on Tuesday Morning next, take into Consideration the Danger the Church
of England is in, by the Growth of Popery.
Interment of Charles I.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill for the more decent and
solemn Interment of his late Sacred Majesty King Charles
the First, be read on Monday Morning next, at Ten of
the Clock.
And then the House adjourned till Monday
