of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber:
And to summon and hear the King's Counsel: And have
Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.
Supply.
Resolved, &c. That the House do now resolve into a
Committee of the whole House, further to consider of the
Supply to be granted to his Majesty, towards the paying
and disbanding the Forces that have been raised, since
the Twenty-ninth of September last.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir John Trevor reports from the said Committee, That
the Committee had agreed upon Two Votes: Which he
read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in
at the Clerk's Table: And the same, being there twice
read, were with some Amendments made at the Clerk's
. . . . ., upon the Question, severally agreed; and are
as followeth:
Resolved, &c. That a Supply of Two hundred thousand
Pounds be granted to his Majesty, for the speedy and
complete Paying and Disbanding of all the Forces that
have been raised since the Twenty-ninth of September
last.
Resolved, &c. That the said Supply shall be raised by
Six Months Tax, after the Rate of Thirty-four thousand
Four hundred and Ten Pounds Nine Shillings and SixPence Half-peny by the Month; to commence next after
the Determination of the present monthly Tax.
Ordered, That a Bill be brought in, pursuant to the
said Votes: And it is referred to Mr. Solicitor-General,
Sir Tho. Meeres, Mr. Powle, Colonel Birch, Sir John
Trevor, Sir Robert Howard, or any Three of them, to
prepare and bring in the said Bill.
Ordered, That a Clause be brought in, to encourage
Persons to lend Money upon the Security of the said
Bill: And that Provision be also made in the Bill, That
the Forces be disbanded by the last Day of June Instant:
And that there be a Clause in the Bill for appropriating
the Money to the Paying of the Forces, in order to disbanding them.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned, except
the Committee to whom the Matters relating to the Fleet
stands committed; which is to sit this Afternoon: And
that the Master of the Ordnance do bring in his Estimates
to the said Committee.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow
