Address respecting Prayer about the Plot.
RESOLVED, &c. That an humble Address be presented to his Majesty, by such Members of this
House as are of his Majesty's Privy Council, representing to his Majesty, That his Majesty's Commands,
given upon the Address of this House, for composing a
particular Prayer or Prayers, to be used on Wednesday
next, relating to the Plot and Conspiracy contrived and
carried on by the Popish Recusants against his Majesty's
Person and Government, and the Protestant Religion,
have not as yet been obeyed; there being no Mention
therein made of the Papists, who are the Contrivers of
this damnable and hellish Plot: And humbly to desire
his Majesty to give effectual Orders, that his Commands may be obeyed.
Murder of Sir E. Godfrey.
Mr. Bedlow being called in, to give an Account concerning the Murder of Sir Edmundbury Godfrey; as also,
concerning the Plot now under Examination: And his
Information being in Writing; he read the same to the
House; and afterwards delivered the same in to the
House.
Ordered, That the Papers now delivered in by Mr.
Bedlow, containing his Information, be forthwith sealed
up; and do so remain until further Order.
And the said Papers were accordingly sealed up by
Mr. Speaker, and delivered to the Clerk.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow
