Commons desire a Conference concern the Business of Mary Queen of Scots.
Committee named.
THIS Day, while the Lords were debating the
Matter of the Queen of Scots, the Commons House
came up, and desired a Conference with some of my
Lords of this House, what Number it should please
them to appoint, about the great Matter of the Queen
of Scots, already opened unto them; whereupon the
Lords chose out to the Number of Twenty-one; videlicet, the Archbishops of Canterburie and Yorcke, the
Lord Treasurer, the Lord Steward, the Earls of Northumb'land, Kent, Rutland, and Sussex, the Bishops of
London, Durham, Winchester, and Worcester, the Lord
Admiral, the Lord Chamberlain, the Lords Cobham,
Graye, Lumley, Chandos, Buckeburst, Delaware, and
Norris. The Place of Meeting was in the Outer Parliament Chamber, this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock.
There were also appointed to attend the said Lords, the
Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas, the Lord
Chief Baron, and Justice Gawdie.
