Knaresborough Return amended.
THE House being informed, that the Bailiff of
the Borough of Knaresbrough in the County of
Yorke, and the Clerk of the Crown, attended, to amend
the Return for the said Borough;
They were called in: And the Bailiff amended the
Return accordingly, by striking thereout so much thereof
as related to the Return of Lord Latimer.
And thereupon Mr. Fawkes was introduced, according
to the Order of the House.

A Bill for Naturalizing of Frederick Count Schomberg
and others, was read the First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.
Duty on Sugars.
A Petition of the Planters, and others, concerned in
their Majesties Sugar Plantations; complaining of great
Hardships the Plantations lie under, by reason of the new
Impositions upon Sugars; and praying Relief, in taking
off the same; was read.
Resolved, That the Matters of the said Petition be
taken into Consideration, when the Revenue shall come
under the Consideration of the House.

The House being informed, that several Persons had
fiotously entered upon Part of the Estate of William
Palmes, Esquire, a Member of the House, at Malton in
the County of Yorke, and beaten several of his Tenants
and Servants, and Outed him of his Possession; and that
Richard Thorpe; of New Malton in the County of Yorke,
Thomas Grimes of the same, and James Galloway of Old
Malton, were some of those Persons;
Ordered, That the said Richard Thorpe, Thomas
Grymes, and James Galloway, be sent for in Custody of
the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for such their
Breach of the Privileges of this House.
Norwich Court of Conscience.
Ordered, That Leave be given for establishing a Court
of Conscience in the City of Norwich.

Resolved, That this House will, on Friday Morning

Resolved, That this House will To-morrow Morning,
at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of
the whole House, to take into Consideration the State
of this Kingdom, and of Ireland.
Privilege.
Sir Rich. Temple, a Member of the House, acquainting
the House, That the said Richard Thorpe, Thomas Grymes,
and James Galloway, were his Servants; and that the
Estate which they entered upon, is his Estate, he having
been for a considerable time, and being, in Possession
thereof, upon a Mortgage for Security of a great Sum
of Money; but that Mr. Palmes's Agents had endeavoured to Out him thereof;
Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee of Privileges, to examine, which of them, the said Mr. Palmes,
or Sir Rich. Temple, was in the Possession of the Premises
into which the said Entry was made, at the time of the
meeting of this present Parliament; and who committed
the Breach of Privilege; and report the Matter, with
their Opinions therein, to the House: And that, in the
mean time, the Order for the taking the said Rich.

Mr. Speaker,
The King commands this honourable House to attend
his Majesty in the House of Peers, immediately.
Accordingly Mr. Speaker, with the House, went up
to attend His Majesty.
Mr. Speaker being returned, acquaints the House,
That, they having been to attend the King, his Majesty
was pleased to give his Royal Assent to Three Bills; viz.
An Act for exhibiting a Bill in this present Parliament,
for Naturalizing the most Noble Prince George of Denmarke.
An Act for reviving of Actions and Process, lately depending in the Courts of Westminster, and discontinued
by the not holding of Hillary Term; and for supplying
other Defects relating to Proceedings at Law: And
An Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall
mutiny, or desert their Majesties Service.
Exporting Corn, &c.
A Bill for Exportation of Corn and Grain, was read
the Third time.
An ingrossed Clause, as a Rider, was offered, to be
made Part of the Bill, for the Exporting of Beer: Was
Twice read:
And the Question being put, That it be read the
Third time;
It passed in the Negative; and so was rejected.
Another ingrossed Clause, as a Rider, was offered,
to be made Part of the Bill, for Liberty to export white
Pease and Beans: Was twice read:
Resolved, That the Clause be read the Third time.
And the Question being put, that the same be made
Part of the Bill;
